I agree with poorva...Wahtever is shown in BV happens in reality.I have seen this and also heard about such cases. If a MIL treats her DIl like her daughter, then they are very rare species.Even in the so called broadminded and educated society also such cases happens..Whatever goes wrong in the house DIL's are considered responsible.DIL whatever good she is will most of the times not be accepted as daughters. If at all it happens she is really lucky.Dil's are most of the time also compared with daughters. It happens in India and I do not know about other countries...

Yeah what you say is absolutely right. There are in-laws who ill-treat their daughter-in-laws. I think it's its sort of a power game where both the ladies fight to hold the numero uno seat at home.

However there is no problem in this world with no solution. I think the solution is that every woman should think of marriage after being financially independent and after few years of career and should carry on the same come what may. She should separate her area of work from her in-laws. That would solve half of the problem. Handle them tactfully.

If still there is no solution, a woman can always stay separately with the kid. I think in most of the societies in the world, the custody of the child goes to the mother. She would get compensation from the husband, earn her living and lead a life of her own.

So where is the problem? I think it's the attitude towards life that we women should change at the moment 😊

yes very true!! 👏

more women should understand that a woman's life is not supposed to revolve only around a man!

money issues r the major cause of fights n differences in most places,. so why should even a chance be given to anyone to taunt you or for you to be dependent on anyone financially? so being financially independent in today's world is the most important thing i feel!

And most important, be happy !! if thats with ur man n with ur in-laws, nothing could be better. but if ur not happy with them, walk out n do what makes u happy. why should any woman receive abuses or any misbehavior from anyone??

I do understand what you mean to say.

But in western countries it's not a do or die situation as in India.

Here parents don't wish to bear a girl child. Why? Because of the social structure and partially because of the mentality of females towards themselves I would say. They should start thinking independently, living a financial independent life, start respecting themselves as well as others. Many things could be sorted our amicably as well.

There is no need to shed buckets of tears as what the iconic character Anandi is doing in BV.

If her first marriage did not work, then it was was not because of her as she was a child and did not take that decision for her.

But if her current one breaks then she is the one who is majorly responsible.

In that case I would suggest she should rather live a single life, might get into relationships but never into another marriage as she does not know how to handle relationships tactfully 🤢
