@ Vrish...nice info.

And actually queens are very Mahan...😃 because they even mean that their 0% body image would be shown towards enemy.

Means...They can die by any other method.

But in Johar...all can die together.

Then after death...their bodies...could be easily burnt & also no necessary of Antim Sanskar.

Because in very high conditions...of war,who could be ready to give antim sanskar to the thousands ladies.???

Even they are not ready to show their death bodies toward Mughals so...they used to do Johar...Because with Johar...they would be totally disappeared in Rakh😲

So...never Rani used to come in against enemy...always King was used to go in front of them.

Salute to them.😊😊

Thank you very much for this highly informative thread.😊

It was indeed unfortunate and gory. Drugged or not, one does know what she is going in for.😕

Just hate what local people had to go through thanks to brutal invaders!

Anyway, while I commend the women's sacrifice. I would like to clarify that saluting women for their sacrifice does not mean condoning suicide (as some people allege. You know). It is very easy to say NOW that one should fight for justice etc., but there was no justice or so called Supreme court type court of law at that time! The victors and rulers were the law! Therefore, women in such conditions had only two options - be captured and exploited by enemies or die.

Practices need to be understood in context of those times.
