Celebration thread - ovi gives birth to a baby girl

i quite like maya or para-she who is supreme. my fave prasiddha- she who is celebrated cause she is the biggest joy for ovi!

its a heart touching episode today..i watched it repeatedly ... but they just rushed the scene whr ovi reveals the truth to arjun unknowingly . 🤢

I think it's very interesting that the baby is a girl. It might just be me, but I feel like the politics of the serial wouldn't allow Ovi to be the mother of the first son born to Arjun. Since the leads are Purvi and Arjun (they are the main, "super" couple), I think Ekta didn't want to give Ovi a son, who would inherit all of Arjun's wealth and status and always be considered as the "oldest son" or "waaris". (This would also give Ovi more importance). While things have advanced quite a bit in India, I feel like in TV land, the birth of a son is still a very "special" and elevated occurrence. By making Ovi's baby a girl, I feel like the CV's have essentially made her baby "redundant," meaning the baby won't change the fact that ArVi is the main couple (my prediction). I think that if Ovi had had a son, it would have been Ekta telling us that the show is going to go in the "ovi-arjun" direction. But that didn't happen. Purvi's second baby will most definitely be a son.

Ovi inherited most of Manav's wealth and she is not a son. India's bias toward male heirs makes me sad. Generally you do not think about it but these types of harmless thoughts end up hurting women in the long run. A daughter should be just as important as the son.

As for Ovi's daughter's name I hope she has a beautiful name. I kind of want to see this baby grow up just a little before the leap.

I totally agree with you and a girl child should be celebrated. But then it is EKta. I have seen article that GAuri is raped by Soham and then gets married to him...can one imagine marrying the man who raped her...that is so disgusting and kinda saying that you rape and will get the girl - if even she has the audacity to refuse - raping assures that marriage...what is being shown on Nation TV yaar...
