Okay, so fidelity is the quality of being faithful to your lover or partner. Infidelity would mean breaking that faith. But this sham or accidental nikaah as Gul prefers to call it is clearly an arrangement with an objective, it does not warrant loyalty, emotional or sexual, from any of the parties, Agreed, public display of affection destroys the very purpose of the sham. So, call it stupidity! Why infidelity though?
By describing an act of reassurance as infidelity, we are only validating the perspective of characters like Hassena Bi, Granted Haseena Bi has no clue of their circumstances but surely we do!
No offence but I don't find Gul and her team's work worthy of any serious debate! I only feel like laughing at the travesty that is unfolding in the name of drama! Ludicrous more like it and displaying singular lack of imagination. Why would you be openly floundering in your attempts to take your story forward, grabbing at every straw or every provocative cliche known to mankind if you had any kind of a sensible gameplan?
Getting back to the point, Ayaan has no trust or faith in his relationship with Zoya, apart from it being a temporary arrangement to save his sister's marriage or whatever. So, where there is no trust or investment in the emotional or physical sanctity of a relationship, where is the question of breaking that trust? He might have an excuse to feel annoyed that, caught in the strength of their emotions, they are compromising the very reason for the arrangement. Maybe they have broken his faith in ensuring that the sham lasts the agreed duration but surely, infidelity is not a term that can be used in the context!
Again, entirely my pov, I respect the opinions of those who disagree!
