Does Islam have haldi ceremony before marriage...?
And if yes why najma didnot have haldi or mehandi ceremony.

Don't want to be rude but nothing about the weddings has been Islamic in QH.
I love the show but it's true...asyas first attempt had a sangeet!!!! That is not Islamic...
But as for haldi...there's no need for ceremony but it is allowed

I think the haldi, sangeet etc may have more to do with culture and tradition of the moment rather than Islam. The three tend to get confused.

It's just cultural and not religious . I don't think there is anything wrong religoudly to have all these as it is just to add on to the celebrations. 😃

in some muslim communities... they celebrate haldi... mostly muslin in india...
but as far as i know... no haldi for us... but mehendi ya... we celebrate mehendi..calling mehendi raat!.. 😉

I've been to an Islamic wedding and they had something similar to Haldi called "Uptan" as well as having a Mehendi ceremony.
