One thing to be appreciated of KD is that when he realizes he is wrong, he does all in his might to fix things and he doesn't waste time. That happened today. The moment he realized he did wrong with Piddi, he got restless to fix things. It was such a beautifully shot scene, the empty corridor and PraSha standing at the railing. Piddi trying his best to act like it's all normal between them, all the time avoiding KD's gaze. And KD saying everything he wanted to say, blaming no one but himself and asking for forgiveness. He's a guy who doesn't come off his ego horse so easily but when it comes to his brother, his Piddi, everything takes a back seat and he can do all to fix things with him. The one person KD can't afford to lose, Piddi. And after all the words he said, Piddi only said one line,
"KD Bhai, Mummy ki qasam...aap rula dete ho."
That line, right there, had me feeling my blood warm my body. And that hug and all was well again. Such a wonderfully shot scene đ
Panchi and Rukmini. Rukmini is finally realizing what a possible threat Panchi is or can be in her relationship with RV. My God, I am just in awe of the wonderfully shot episode that all my sense is out. Panchi saying she knows the reason behind Avi's attitude, that she didn't support her boyfriend while she is supporting her best friend. The agendas are same so it's obvious it comes down to personality. And she knows that he knows the lack of trust isn't cuz of the failed loyalty test. No, that trust was never there. That all out, blinding trust that he can do no wrong. That pricks Avi's ego and Panchi knows it. And why isn't it there? The hardest question to answer in the world is the question "why?"
"Hai tou hai, nahin hai tou nahin hai..."
That stunned Rukmini. With the ease Panchi said that she trusts RV because she just does. There's no specific reason. She didn't say that because she knew him since childhood, no. She just trusted him. Just did it. Meaning, it came from deep within her soul. I can't tell you how much I loved that Rukmini just sat there and repeated Panchi's words. You could see the reality sinking within her as realization hit. Consciously or subconsciously, what Panchi feels for RV is much more than the by-the-book kind of friendship between a guy and girl. And this reality didn't sit well with Rukmini.
Neither with Avi. Oh boy, he wasn't happy seeing Panchi support RV like that and RV taking that support like it was his right. Jealousy. RV had said once that it's an illogical emotion. But you don't feel jealous unless it comes straight from the heart. And the emotions which sprout from heart can be illogical but never fake. While RaHi remain somewhat oblivious to the fact that their respective partners aren't happy with the way this election is affecting their relationships, one wonders how soon will the patience crack and the jealousy take control. An illogical emotion can only give birth to irrational behaviors resulting in everything unpleasant.
I said yesterday, no amount of logic can work when one is being controlled by temper. What Rukmini said yesterday, Panchi said the same to RV today only she said it when he was calmed down. Keeping aside their flirty banter or suggestive hints that she still harbors feelings for him, her words hit the mark and RV thought about it all. Resulting in him going to KD and handing him back his speech. RV was shown hesitating first as he was reminded of KD's unfriendly behavior but it's the true mark of maturity that despite all wrong that has been done to a person, one does what is right.
In a way, RV kind of did stand true to his promise that he'll give KD a competition. Just see the way the scene unfolded, RV was the epitome of calmness. He didn't raise his voice even once and literally sparked a fire in the enemy's camp. He didn't force anything, just plainly put the ugly truth in front of KD and his party. KD is so busy mistrusting his friends and Buddies, so hell bent on not clearing misunderstandings that he fails to recognize that the enemy is much closer to home than he thinks. And despite all the betrayal that RV has felt from KD's behavior, he still gave KD the advice to fix things with people who actually matter before it's too late. Meaning, they are still waiting for him to come to his senses and they will welcome him back with open arms. The thing about truth is that it doesn't need heavy proofs or heated arguments to get itself acknowledged. The very fact that it's the truth is weapon enough for it. RV did just that. He stated the truth to KD which he was overlooking cuz of his prejudices.
On a more romantic angle, the storm is hitting home. Rukmini, who was so happy and eager to support RV's friendship with Panchi, has started to realize that all is not so harmless here. Being number 2 sucks, specially to the person you love. Her jealousy is getting the better of her and it has begun to show. Maybe not to RV yet, but to us as an audience, we know that all is not well with her. And it's only a matter of time before she snaps at being treated like that. RV never consciously does that but subconsciously, he has made it clear many times that it isn't his girlfriend but rather his best friend who gets to his heart and calms him down. No girl, rather no partner, likes to hear such things. I am now waiting for that confrontation and the definite crack in their relationship to appear. The one girl who RV loves having problems with the one girl who means the world to him. Do I see a point where he has to choose? Hell yeah!
