Shekhars are bashing Singhs for always ruining others' daughters' lives. Partly they are right. For DS had ruined lives of many starting from Basant's first wife. And Jagya's history is known to all.
Jagya has lied many times, taken impulsive and reckless decisions in past. It has only been a year or so since he started redeeming himself. So it is natural that his family is having a hard time to trust him.
Also, if he did not trust any of them enough to share truth about Sanchi with them, then how can he or anyone else expect them to trust him now?
It has happened in case of all people. Gauri did not trust Singhs knowing what they had done to her in childhood. Later Gauri wasn't trusted because of blunders she did. Khajaan may be cordial but he still does not trust Singhs or Jagya much - thanks to what happened in past. Sanchi was earlier doubted by her family and no one trusted that she could live with Singhs and adjust with them - thanks to her past behaviour.
Past is over. But its stamp remains. You can't shake it off easily.
Jagya should have been careful this time. But he was not. No wonder he isn't being trusted.
Though I find it hypocritical how Sumitra wanted him to talk it out with families and Sanchi herself to seek an explanation before reaching a decision! Why didn't she think of it when he left Gauri? In fact she shut the topic even when Bhairon brought up her name regarding closure of this relationship! Didn't she think at that time that it was wrong to break relations like this?
Sumitra and others think Jagya doesn't have respect for family or women. Do they wonder if they have taught him to respect others? What did they do to Anandi, Gehna, Gauri and Basant's first wife's families? And those girls/women? What is Sumitra doing to Ganga now?
If a mother herself calls a woman sadak pe phenka hua baasi phool then what example is she setting for her son to respect others?
With the kind of behaviour that Singhs are showing now, they will always be humilated and have no izzat. They'll never be able to get over their past.
