Majority vote goes to Ira - Alok !!!

i would have chosen Ratan Singh's parents, but i figured they are not bad parents, they are just evil human beings .

So Ira and Alok are the winners because.
they are educated
little modern
good people.
but they simply fail as parents, i wonder how Shiv came out this way..oh i had Manu was the one who drought him up...no wonder he is different.

All parents have been bad. But I vote for Bhairon and Sumitra. It's a foolish excuse that the matriarch did not let them bring up their kids properly. They had simply NO clue that Sugna was secretly meeting Pratap and having PMS with him. Clueless in every single matter related to Jagya. They have never taken responsibility of their kids or guided them. Their kids had to depend on others like teachers or spouses to behave.

If Anandi was good. Then it was not due to Bhairon-Sumi. But due to her inherent qualities and values imparted by Teacher ji and her parents.

They get helpless and easily disown their kids.

Blind laad is not good. But playing yo-yo with your kids, ignoring them, accepting them or disowning them or bringing them back at whim are no way to deal with them!

Be it in their youth or in middle age, at every stage they failed massively in handling their kids.

I was tempted to vote for Ira-Alok or Ratan's parents or Heth Singh or parents of the guy who tried to rape Sanchi. But Ira-Alok at least have one good kid in form of Shiv. And other parents were all evil/crazy to begin with. But Bhairon-Sumitra aren't evil or barbaric but their so called stability or wisdom is failure and both their kids had loads of problems.
They have disturbed DS and Basant many times. It's not like they only kept pleasing them.
As parents it is important to draw the line and make some things clear, irrespective of what grandmother/matriarch thinks!

Ira and Alok, without a doubt.

All the other parents at least had some excuse or the other they could hold on to like narrow-minded, orthodox backgrounds, circumstances, illiteracy, general mean nature, the rural mindset etc.

But Ira and Alok both come from good families with well-educated backgrounds and broad minded and modern views. They have given their kids the best in life like excellent education and all materialistic comforts yet when it comes to basic child-rearing skills they have failed miserably with regards to Sanchi.

Being the only girl and the youngest in the family they went overboard in their pampering, fawning over their little "princess" and heeding every whim and fancy of hers without any limit, never instilling any values in her. As a result she's grown up thinking that anything and everything is hers for the taking without a proper sense of right and wrong.

They seem to live in some kind time warp where they have forgotten that their daughter is a grown woman and accountable for her actions now, and still go on treating her as a bachchi. Then why, pray, were they thinking of getting her married in the first place if she was still a child and all that she does is just her bachpana! Why not wait till she has "grown up" before she's off setting up a family of her own?

They are definitely those set of parents who fear above all a meltdown or tantrum by their children and go out of their way to pacify them. The way they were acting fearfully before telling her the news of the breakup as if she'll explode any minute clearly shows that it wasn't the first time she's done thod-phod when she didn't get her way.

And even now instead of consoling her and trying to get her to move on from this fiasco Ira is planning on revenge on the Singhs! Oh boy, are they in for a major shock when their precious princess's true colors come out into the open in front of all! Would love to see who Ira and Alok would blame then.
