TV anchor Parizad Kolah speaks on her favourite rasta food, best Indian designers and Mumbai's biggest eyesore and lots more
ROTI
My favourite rasta food is: I love the tandoori chicken at Bade Miyan, and it's open till very late so you can just sit in the car and eat while listening to music.
My favourite restaurants are: Thai Pavilion (their Thai curry is one of my favorites), Royal China and Moti Mahal.
My favourite nightspots are: Poly Esther's for awesome retro music which always makes me want to dance, Insomnia and Priv.
The most expensive meal I've had was at: The Zodiac Grill at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower.
The most overpriced restaurant is: Wasabi, but it has great food.
The most value for money restaurant is: Joss at Kala Ghoda and Indigo Deli.
KAPDA
I shop mostly at: Bandra as there are lots of shops where I get clothes I like. In town, I like Aftershock.
My favourite rasta shopping area is: Colaba because you get every single thing there – right from clothes to shoes to bags and even great accessories.
My favourite Indian designers are: Tarun Tahiliani as his clothes just flatter you and have excellent cuts, Surily Goel for her feminine style and attractive colours and Suneet Verma for his beautiful sarees.
The sale I never miss is: At Ensemble. I recently went there and picked up quite a few outfits on sale and they were so worth it!
The most expensive thing I've bought is: Jewellery.
The cheapest thing I've bought is: I picked up this really nice dress from Colaba Causeway.
The best bargains are available at: Colaba Causeway…where else?
MAKAAN
My favourite area is: Malabar Hill, where I stay. It has the most fabulous view of the Queen's Necklace.
Heritage structures in Mumbai should be: Certainly preserved carefully to retain Mumbai's architectural identity. The Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus building is definitely something to admire.
The one place that holds fondest memories for me is: Cusrow Baug at Colaba. The place holds fondest memories of my childhood.
Mumbai's biggest eyesore is: The roads, especially when most of them are dug up at the same time in the same area.
