I didn't find the sucide explanation not that strong.. I thought Mainavati would react more and Jodha would be Heart broken.. I read in a ff where Mainavati says that she doesn't want to see Jodha's face for disgracing MA.. That would've been a valid point.. This point is okay okay..

They wanted to show that Jodha wanted to end her life because not her husband or not her parents were with her, neither of them were supporting her.. But they could've explain it more nicely..

It's just my POV..

N one more thing, I thought that the sucide scene would be today but no that didn't happen...

Btw wasn't Jalal looking stunning when he was racing off to save HIS Jodha Begum?

in my opinion i think this reason is better because if what u have said happened it will lower jodha's mom's respect in our eyes and this way no one is the villian

i think this point was more valid for suicide track

for MA holi khand suicide was just silly

mainavathi just rejected jodha and told her she should not bring disgrace to amer.. and she told because of jodha others two sisters will remain unmarried

and whole caste of rajputana will insult amer again

and it will bring disgrace to the whole amer and bharmal and anyone cane make fun of them

so she literally told her to die in agra rather than in amer
