For a film with the title 'Just Married' one does expect some celebration and entertaining tracks, isn't it? This is what exactly is the first track of the album 'Ram Milaye Jodi'. Resounding with good melody and arrangements this sounds like an absolute Indian number with a catchy feel and fun fervor. Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan entertain throughout. This is not the run of the mill marriage songs, and this is the best part about it. Follows the remix version of the track and this one is added with more fun without losing the feel good factor of the track. There is also another sad version of the track done solo by Sukhwinder Singh. To tickle your ears arrives 'Gudgudee' with Sunidhi Chauhan surprising you with her awesome rendition. This mellow melodious number coming from Pritam does make you sit up and listen. This one is truly harming that you're sure to hold on for long. As the film was earlier titled 'Baat Pakki', here arrives the next song with the same title. Another very entertaining track rendered by Shaan, Neeraj Sridhar, Sunidhi Chauhan and Mahalakshmi Iyer. Also Gulzar's lyrics are striking and so is the beautiful love track. Pritam's simple tune for this feel-good song also needs a mention. There is also a remix version of the song that is also enjoyable with the added peppy feel. Just like the opening track of the album this too has another version. But the only difference is that while its other versions were good this one is the best. Pritam does a remarkable job with the bare minimal music and letting the singer's voice float on the front.
Sonu Nigam gets back in action for 'Jaagte Raho', the last track of the album. Another composition adding feather to the cap of Pritam. One of the best songs of the album, this one has Gulzar sensual lyrics making one curious about the first night. Pritam appears absolutely different and wonderful with the change of his style for this composition. 'Just Married' is a sweet album that delivers what is expected out of it. The team of Pritam and Gulzar working together for the first time has done exceptionally well with songs that leaves a mark on the ear. This melodious soundtrack would surely do wonders fore this Meghna Gulzar film. Pritam has another ace up his sleeve at the beginning of the year! |
