Just wanted to ask....how do you handle guilt?

I do believe we have a chance of making a new decision every single second of the day.And yet guilt over relationships,a career mistep, or family dispute can keep you from living in the present moment.

Do you recognise guilt as emotion to learn from?A reminder that you dont want to make a similar decision again? Is guilt a healthy or harmful emotion for you?

I feel guilty about not going to the gym.😡

I feel guilty about eating half a qt of ice cream before going to bed.😡

I feel guilty about buying yet another pair of shoes.😕

I feel guilty about throwing leftovers from last night's dinner.😉

I feel guilty about spending time on IF when I should be sleeping or working.

I feel guilty when I see ad campaign for Unicef kids.

I feel guilty for the ones not as fortunate as I am.

I feel guilty for the same things mentioned above every day.

So in a nutshell, I don't feel guilty as much as I feel insane because insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results...😈

feeling guilty is an absoluetely superb emotion 😆 😆
guilt is something which makes us realise that somewhere even we r considerate towards our own mistakes...and somewhere we r ready for a change 😊 😊 😊 and that's what makes us a better person...no matter how minute our effort is towards "subsiding" the guilt as well as learning from the mistake. 😳 😳 😊

guilt is the first step in realising and learning from ones mistakes...

but one must move beyond this stage...if you remain stuck in the guilt phase only it can really affect you mentally and physically..
The next step is first to forgive yourself by telling that it was a mistake you comitted and you will atone for it

Then you need to ask for forgiveness from the person you wronged...and make it up to him/ her

and also never repeat the same mistake in the future...

I Believe all human emotions are there to help us learn and understand life better. It's just depends on us then how we take certain emotions that may look harmful from outside but are there only for our help.

Now, guilt can be taken as a very harmful emotion some times... but it really isn't. If you learn from your guilt and know what you did wrong and try not to ever repeat the mistake, then guilt is a very strong and positive experience.

So, just learn from your mistakes and move on in your life... Never let guilt come in your way ever.

All humans feel guilt... right.. so why don't terrorists feel any guilt? They are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves for killing many innocent lives... and they should have major guilt.. and should not repeat their devil act ever again... but where does this emotion known as guilt go where these ppl are concerned... Dont they feel any guilt? 😕 😡

There is a nice saying which goes something like this

(Guilt) Conscience doesnt stop us from doing anything wrong it merely prevents us from enjoying the outcome...

Similarly, like many people are saying learning from mistakes... guilt doesnt do that.....it just puts us down... Guilt is child of regrets which is wrong...
