Hi guys,😃

First of all,Happy belated valentine's Day to all of you!😃

Just wanted to ask....how do you handle guilt?

I do believe we have a chance of making a new decision every single second of the day.And yet guilt over relationships,a career mistep, or family dispute can keep you from living in the present moment.

Do you recognise guilt as emotion to learn from?A reminder that you dont want to make a similar decision again? Is guilt a healthy or harmful emotion for you?

Please reply!

Have a nice day!

Fatmah😃

a very good topic 👏

According to me guilt is one of the most powerful emotions in humans. It depends on how we use it in our lives. If used in a negative way it may stop a person from living their life altogether. But most of the times people do use it in a positive way to guide them in their future lives and decisions.
The guilt of not being with my father in his last moments will stay with me forever and i don't want it to go away either. It makes me stronger in my feelings with my mother.I try to call her everyday, talk to her and just rejoice the fact that she is still there for me.
Most of the times atleast in my case when i am doing something i try to give it my best shot just to avoid that feeling of guilt ,that oh! I could have done better. So i don't consider it a negative emotion at all.

Guilt keeps us aware of whats right and whats wrong.. so a little guilt does a lot of good but too much of guilt can paralyze our mental well-being...

So, if do something which kills 50 people, its impossible to come out of such guilt thats why the elders have said "kar bhala soh ho bhala" always be positive and that keeps you healthy...... yes and our culture teaches us that isnt it something to be proud of?

Confession is just repenting. Guilt stays and should stay. Otherwise after confessing, one can repeat the same thing. Confession relieves heart and guilt does not hamper normal life thereafter. Hence confession is great! You apologize so that you can move on .. It does not mean gulit vanishes..

Its more to get rid of the guilt through absolution... Its one of the classic reason to be religious...especially when stress takes a better part of you...😊

Confessions are the proof that finally the person has accepted that the mistake was his fault and not anyone else's.As soon as we err we have the tendency to look for excuses as to why we did it .Those excuses do not mitigate the feeling of guilt, confessions do.Whatever the reason maybe the fact is that a mistake has been made and the responsibility has to be taken for it.when we confess we accept our mistake and thats lifts a burden of our chest. We make the confessions for ourselves, not for others and the feeling of guilt ensures that we don't make that mistake again(most of the time).

Come on its confession not compunction... There is no realization just a simple desire to transfer the burden of culpability...😊 or simple thoughts of wrong doing which dont carry any promise of non-repeatation...in future..😊
