Salman Khan started his visit to Delhi by leaving his fans and mediapersons stumped with his one-liners and ended the day by dancing to his own hits at a party
A regular question-answer session, the sort that filmstars are used to, is impossible with Salman Khan. This Khan is a firm believer that regular is boring, so even his ice-breaker for the day is good enough to leave you tongue-ties. His way of saying hello is: "Aap kuch waise wale sawaal puchiye naa." Then somebody calls him Shah Rukh by mistake. But the star known for his mercurial temper takes it in his stride: "Do the same to SRK as well," is his repartee. But when prodded about his love life, he looks philosophically toward the ceiling and says, "It will happen when He thinks the time is right." So the girl has been chosen? He just gives a sheepish smile. But a few more of such questions and requests for pictures, and Salman has lost his shirt, figuratively.
He refuses to pose for any pictures and gave in only when lensmen ciovered their cameras. But the moment he is back, so are the one-liners. "Aapne to kuch puchcha hi nahi tha pehle," he says. Does he look forward to rocking the brands he is associated with? The question almost fumbles out. "I hope I do not rock the brands the way I rocked my last three movies." Talking of movies, he maintains he completely adored Hrithik in Dhoom2. Who gets him the shirt he loses? "I just pick the clothes I like. If they don't fit me, they fit Arbaaz, Sohail or a friend. But nobody takes me out for shopping if they have to shop for themselves," he cribs almost like a school boy.
Salman's good mood continues at an evening party that he attends in the city. He dances the music in his inimitable style, latka, jhatka et al. His friends point out that Delhi is suiting him. "Yes, but I have to rush back. I have a film shoot lined up with Amitabh Bachchan. But I guess it won't be possible and I will have to shelve it since, Aishwarya would also be there," he explains, laughing at everybody's expressions. Given the status quo, what is his take on Abhi ash nuptials? A diplomtic grunt is all that Salman has to offer.
