Zoya poisoned or drugged?

I didnt watch yesterday's epi and read the WU just now and I am confused about something.
It is shown that Tanveer injects her. It is said to be poison. If it really was poison how the hell did she go through all that community marriage thing?

She puts her on an IV, and ties her up. Tanveer injects the poison into the Glucose bag. So (according to QH logic) until she was able to find a knife and cut the ropes tying her up, the poison has JUST finished mixing itself with the glucose (or GULUCOSE as Tanveer pronounced it) and Zoya was able to detach herself from the IV JUST in time, and RIGHT BEFORE the poison reached her vein.
