Yes, agree... I hoard that too 😳 along with those bubble wraps 😆

Lavanya, bubble wraps are those wrapping sheets with bubbles 🤔 to wrap delicate glass wares etc...and they are fun to pop...you can sit all day and keep on popping them 😳

Well, i keep nearly everything which i know is useless!😕

I buy and buy and buy, but i dont throw and throw and throw. Therefore the balance is uneven😆

Maybe, its just my mentality which wont let me throw them away! I always think why dont i keep this and keep that because it could always come in use in the future!

But that usefull moment never comes in the future, sadly.😆

I've just recently moved house and realised how much junk i had hidden in those cupboards. About time i de-clutter my wardrobes!😆

Why do we have this hoarding mentality? Old clothes be it shirts, trousers, skirts, woollens or even sarees carefully wrapped up in tissues and mothballs. The old clothes might ill fit you or have faded but still they are kept for later on alterations. Even shoes, watches, lamps, cordless phones, crockery are all stored in the hope of some appropriate action after which they can be used. We keep the books, journals & magazines nicely arranged in shelves gathering dust and silverfish. Newspapers are kept for the "raddiwala". Over the years lots of stuff is kept in the hope that one day the propitious time will come when it will be of use and we can feel proud of ourselves for having preserved it for so long and having made the judicious choice.

But the trend shows otherwise since the fortunate moment never comes and we simply generate clutter in an organized manner probably to be passed as heirs to the rightful next generation. No wonder during Diwali cleaning we find the house half submerged in decades of clutter.

What's the wisdom in hanging on to old stuff? And why do we keep clutter nicely packed for years on?

Indecisiveness most likely...😆 if this things were being bought at $ rate maybe we would clean it instantaneously...😆

I still keep some of my old stuff & I really try hard to keep it. I don't think people should waste stuff & buy new things right away just because one thing is "out of style" & the other is "in style", especially when it comes to clothes. It's just a waste of money.. I don't really pay attention to the fashion trends that much because they change so easily.. So I have own little fashion. 😛
