D3- Dil Dosti Dance had every ingredient to become a path-breaking show. Yes it did have a unique concept and a group of sincere hard working newbies and an equally driven crew. Yet it failed to achieve the heights, every fan expected it to.I've been a D3 viewer from the beginning and no prizes for guessing that I mostly stayed glued to the show because of Swayam and Sharon. Their undeniable chemistry portrayed by two class actors Sneha and Shantanu. Sneha marvelled as Sharon since day 1, and it was such a bliss, witnessing Shantanu blossom as Swayam, and today, in spite of not being a first timer, he can give any other actor a run for their money.I am an ardent Sneha fan and had made up my mind to quit the show post her exit, but that would have been really unfair on Shantanu so decided to stay back. Vrushika is a very sincere actress and it will be unfair to not acknowledge her efforts in portraying Sharon, one of the most complex characters on Indian TV. She has improved a lot within a very short time and she deserves accolades for that.So where did D3 go wrong?? My reasons.1.Well, the show started going completely offtrack since Shakti's exit. Like every other run of the mill show on the telly, it let go off logic and rationality, completely. People started losing their memory because of a drink, and then a wedding held in a college... I can go on. That's when I stopped expecting logical reasoning from the show.2. In 2011, apart from the leads, Rey-Kriya, Swayam-Sharon, every other member of the gang used to get proper screenspace with sensible dialogues. From 2012 onward, the rest of the gang were slowly reduced to sidekicks used for product promotion and creating chaos. ViHa were reduced to nothing more than caricature. Now when Alisha has left the show I feel sad, that talents like Vinti, Alisha were simply wasted in the background.3. Introduction of a new character that turned the story haywire. If this was about Kriya's journey, then why not introduce a new character like Kriya. Why was a dance-based show turned into a ridiculous drama? I personally had never paid attention to Kriyaansh, but I admit I really miss them now- at least they retained the real flavour of D3. Did the CVs really think that a new character from a small town- this wide eyed India telly version of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl would click in D3 just the way it does in every other prime time opera? Well if it did then why was she made to exit so soon? Why did it take the CVs so long to accept that her character was redundant in the show?I'm not trying to bash anyone here- stating my opinion- sorry if I offended some of you. These are strictly my reasons.

😃Sure. This is my opinion and if I get 'reported' for posting my opinion then I've no issues. I have not bashed any character/actor. I've critiqued yes, and I thought that's what this forum is for. So I don't think I've breached any rule. Neither have I used any unparliamentary words. Thanks for taking your time and reading my post. I didn't think anybody would have the patience.😊
