A YEAR LATER

*Madhu's POV*

I hate him...completely. How can he be such a jerk to me. Moron Khundra is showing his moron character. Damn. I was nibbling my chocolate with all hatred I have towards him now.

" why are you so grumpy ?" Ishita asked

Her face glowed with life as she had just now spoken to Ranveer who calls her at least once every day even after a year.

"because my boyfriend is being a numbskull" I complained

"why?" she asked

" Don't you see he is missing?" I asked as if it's the most illegal thing to do.

" oh yeah , where is he by the way?" she asked

"He has gone to goa with his friends" I said cursing him.

How can he be so insensitive? God who leaves their girlfriend alone? I still remember the night before he went.

"ufff Barbie doll its just three days why are you getting hyper?" he asked

"Rishab but you never told me about this when we were planning to go on a one day picnic slash date?" I asked pointed glaring at him.

" It wasn't decided then. All my friends confirmed only this morning" he said

" and suddenly all your friends became more important than me " I asked

He hugged me from behind. I tried to shrug off his hold but he kissed my nape and placed his chin on my shoulder.

"please barbie doll" he cajoled "this is our final year and probably my last trip with friends "

That part was justified. Its true this is the last year of our graduation and after this god knows where we will fine our friends.everyone will be busy with their life.

"i swear when I come back we will go out on a sweet date " he said

I turned to look at him. He have those innocent smile.

"I bet all those bikini girls are the only reason you are going to Goa"i said

"oh barbie doll that is not the only reason..."he said

I rolled my eyes at him.

"but its one of the reasons "he added.

I hit his arm less playfully and he winced.

"Do you remember what I said on last valentine's day when Anna have you chocolates " I asked

"of course I do let me quote "if I see you with and girl and find that you aren't regretting bring with her then that will be the end of our relationship' un-quote" he said

"good keep it in mind " I said

"i will never do that you know"he said

"i don't trust you Mr.Khundra" I said

"what should I do to make you trust me" he asked

"maybe ... Ummm... Call me thrice a day "i said

"oh come on Madhu that is ridiculous . My friends will tease me to death " he whined

"ain't I important? Look Ranveer calls ishita everyday in spite of the time difference"i said

"not again" he said

"okay fine twice"he said

Now moron Khundra forgot his promise. Its almost eight in the evening and he hasn't called even once. jerk.

"so that is it?"ishita asked

"don't you think its bigger problem?"i asked

"Madhu our boyfriend are not our slaves. They are like rubber bands of you stress then a lot they will break beyond repair. If you give them the right space they will treat you better then your dreams."she said

I looked at her awestruck. what is she? Relationship expert? Love guru?

"what?"she asked as I was looking at her with wide eyes.

"do you hear yourself?"i asked

"why?" She asked conscious

"love guru ishita ma ki jai "i said dramatically making her laugh.

"come on drama queen lets go shopping and waste some money"she said

"what is the occasion?" i asked

"shopping is the occasion"she said shrugging.

Don't mind that is my crazy friend.

The shopping was a fun affair. I really like spending time with Ishita she Is sp cool that it makes me feel young. Well I am already young DUH!! It just makes me feel lively. And moreover she is best distraction from Rishab.

When Ishita dropped me home it was already nine at night and everyone was retiring to bed. I skipped to my bed room and was shocked to see the lights on and Rishab was lying on my bed checking his phone.

"Rishab?" I exclaimed

"Hey Barbie doll " he flashed his cheeky smile.

He walked towards me and hugged me but I pushed away.

"do you realize you didn't call me whole 34 hours?" I questioned

"wow your math skills are good" he said

"shut up moron" I warned

"Barbie doll my batter died"

" I won't buy this lame excuse" I said

"that is true"

I folded my hands to my chest and looked away.

"please baby trust me . I am sorry " he said holding my shoulder

"I hate you " I said

"yeah I love you more " he said

" I thought you will be back only tomorrow" I said

His expressions changed as if he was recollecting something that suddenly got all his attention. His face looked anxious rather than worried. He was surely thinking about something serious.

"Rishab what is it?" I asked

"nothing Madhu " he said

Now I am sure there is something. Else he wouldn't call me by my name .

"are you sure?" I asked

" Now that I am back I have decided to spend the whole night with you " he said

"and I am deciding against it " I said

He pouted cutely. Now is going to start Rishab Khundra's Ten reasons why I should allow him to spend his night with me'. I was getting ready to hear all his reasons when his phone rang. Rishab's expression changed to one he ahd when I mentioned about him returning early from Goa.

"Barbie doll need to attend this call ttyl" he said walking out without waiting for my answer.

Something is fishy.
