i have a doubt. can a toddler who is hardly 3 yrs, can understand the story of Jhansi Ki Rani?
i didn't like the scene at all except Mannu not letting Ganga go.
Ganga always crying in front of the kid. isn't it sentimental overdose?

You will be surprised how toddler's mind works. My kid wouldn't let me study, so to keep my kid busy I would show the letters on the keyboard and say look it is A, B etc... When she was only 15 months, my kid recognized all the alphabets. If you keep telling the same story and show them the same set of pictures/shapes, it will register and they kind of make sense of what you are trying to say.
Regarding Ganga crying at least in this scene I could understand why. Leaving the kid and going to college/work is not that easy at first. Once both the mom and mannu gets into that routine there wont be crying. Mannu will happily wave his hand to his mommy.. I am writing based on my experience, doesn't mean I am right.

i am not saying tht a toddler can't understand story.but it has to be some story which they can understand, and i think the story of Jhansi Ki rani is very heavy for a boy of his age.

That story is a screenplay devise and it was for ganga. She is managing herself by telling that story like jhansi ki raani managed her work and her kid, she too has to manage.

Kids are told all kinds of stories. I was told some complicated Mahabharat and Ramayan stories when i was a kid. I'm sure i didn't understand it that time. But ppl do say some difficult stories. I don't find anything wrong in that. When she started the story, i only remembered Rani Lakshmi Bai as freedom fighter, totally forgot the mother angle. This was reminded there.

I think the kid will just love the attention and the mother's voice more than the story itself.
