Yes,but only to some extent...Screen nominated Ash in the best actress category for Dhoom 2.Enough said!

Award functions is all about glorifying the blockbuster movies, and not essentially talent!!..Ayesha Takia in Dor was infinitely better than Ash🤢,Konkona Sharma in Omkara was better than Kareena...

Ranvir Shorey is a terrific find and was superlative in Khosla Ka Ghosla,SRk and HRithik manage to win a nomination in the best actor category, albeit they played negative characters ,but the same doesnt apply for Saif, who too played a negative character in Omkara, but isnt considered worthy of a nomination in the best actor category

I'm sure Hrithik would win for Krrish(totally undeserving..I dont remember even ONE scene in Krrish where Hrithik was even anywhere remotely close to Saif in Omkara,or even Shreyas Talpade in Dor),and RDB and LRMB would share all the other awards....Had RDB and LRMB not been successful at the BO,they wouldnt have got any regocnition..

i agree with most of what you said...about how certain actors werent even considered...and then some got nominations unnec.🤢

but RDB deserves to be there. from my point of view anyways😛

i think Saif's negative act was a heluva lot more 'villainous' than SRK and Hrithik...coz i think that srk and hrithik went for a more....erm..."nice villain" if there is such a thing...Saif was an out an out villain. plain evil...jealousy...maybe if he'd been more stylish, and decided to give up his bad ways...he could be nominated for hero...but coz he stuk to the true essence of a villain....😆😆😉..his acting was mind bogglin!👏

Most of these awards are a Kiss A** campaign by the film magazine who organize them...its their chance to please the stars...
So you might ahve a function where Abhishek performs and Amitabh and jaya are seated in the front row and then Abhi wins and AB wins and Jaya get a life time acheivement award and Aish does the honours for that..
and its like the bachchan family rules...and then theres another award show where Hritik performs, and Rakes Roshan sits with his family in the front row and then Hrithik wins and Rakesh Roshan wins and Rajesh Roshan gets a life time acheivement award.... and the Bachchans arent even attending... 😆
😉 Know what I mean...

heck even the National awards are rigged these days... 😡

Then the "Best actor" category should be renamed as "Best hero"...I fail to understand the need for a "Best villain" and "Best comedian" category..Heck,even an actor playing a villain "ACTS",even a commedian "ACTS"...Even they are actors,so they too should be nominated in the "BEst actor" category...

All these heroes SRK,Hrithik etc should be put in the "BEst hero" category, they deserve to be thereSaif as a machiavellian henchman delivered a bang up performance, but since the movie wasnt a blockbuster,Saif is underrated..I'm sure had Omkara beaten Krrish at the BO,Saif would have walked away with awards left right and centre....Saif's each nuance, his body language, his dialogue delivery from the first frame to the last were superior to Hrithik's in Krrish...Hrithik's dialogue delivery in Krrish was plain mediocre(was better in Dhoom),Body language was good, but not the best, and almost the entire first half of Krrish was F🤬 up ,but still Hrithik would win for pulling off stunts...Sad,Truly SAD!!...Anyways,sorry for the rant!!

Tally, you're totally right about these awards..Hrithik infact never attended Screen, because his dad wasnt nominated in the Best actor category..How childish,I'm sure all other stars too(except Aamir) harbour the same feelings...If you dont nominate me or anyone related with my film,I wont attend the function"🤢
