I have seen recently a huge thread opened up about why Chennai Express is not an ATBB, and the info came from BOI.com (Box Office India).
Now, it seems as if some people have suddenly been feeling sad and whatnot about how the film is not an ATBB or whatever.
Let me say this...it all depends on who you follow as your source.
Those who follow Taran Adarsh will know that he has already declared the film as an ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER! To be honest, I am shocked that there are 30+ pages in a thread dedicated to Box office india's verdict, whereas Taran Adarsh's verdict of ATBB has been given almost no importance on the forum.
Taran Adarsh is very well known and has a reputation. Although I follow BOI as well, we must all admit that we don't even know who runs that website officially. I mean yes, we can follow it, but I feel Taran Adarsh should be given more importance as we have atleast seen the guy on tv (😆) and we know he is a real box office analyst.
And, I feel that if BOI's collections cross 3 Idiots (which they have hinted at), they will also give CE ATBB status.
Now, which film is the bigger hit between x y z is always debateable. For that matter, Gadar is probably a bigger hit than 3 Idiots. Yet, 3 Idiots is given ATBB status, right? So why not Chennai Express?
I haven't really had any enemies yet on this forum, and I dont hope to have any after this thread either lol. Just adding my 2 cents 😃
