Very true, even I don't miss these two but really miss Shyam's character. He was d best villian so far I've seen on TV screen. He's truely a best perfect villian and even miss our dear Lakshmiji also.
Actually now that I am re-watching the show.. savoring all the ins & outs without the tension of what is going to happen next... I like each & every earlier hated character... well except
Masala Mama, don't get the point of this Mami's relative... maybe the writers couldn't explore this character further due to falling TRPs during Arnav's kidnapping track absence.
Lavanya: I started watching as this character was departing.. but during the re-watch from epi 1, this was the one the most delicate transition from the absolute bit**ch hated by everyone to someone who is loved by all, in a TV show..
La is shown going negative to positive the same time as Shyam is seen going positive to negative.. almost the same ratio.. like a See-saw.. one side going up, the other going down..
Shyam: Loved his journey from the boy next door, can't help falling desperately in love with Khushi... to the revered & respected Jeejaji... to the slow spiral downwards towards the darkness of jealousy slowing descending to murder & revenge.. excellent.. both by the actors & the writers
Bubbly: This actually on second viewing is extremely good track (of course went Haywire towards the end).. the little girl getting jealous of his brother's wife... was very well executed.. slow realization that there is someone taking center stage & again progressing into the dark realm of human nature.. the ugly jealousy.. this emotion is not restricted to GF/BF, Saas/Bahu.. but also in a child's heart...
Sheetal & Araav: This too started off very strong.. but fizzled out very lamely with the writers taking an easy way out of the dilemma... I think i am in a
minority here.. but I wish that Araav was actually Arnav's kid... they completely changed Arnav's character by making him love drumming, to implying that he didn't believe in relationship out of marriage.. when we knew that prior to Khushi.. that was the
only relationship he believed in... The suspicion of Khushi of Araav's parentage to Sheetal - Khushi slow acceptance of the other person in Arnav's life.. to the budding relationship between Arnav & Araav.. the slow acceptance by the family of this new development...all excellent, gripping story.. Araav was an excellent actor.. until the very cheap/easy way out of making Sheetal the bad guy.. a typical 70s movie formula...
Again these are just my viewpoint..
