As SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE is around the corner, I felt it was only right for me to share some insights with PC's awestruck fans as her SHUDDH DESI FRIEND.

The day I met her a university, I figured she was well-read with an amazing persona. It was even better to discover her other side; we shared cheap abject humour to bond as best friends and easily sidelined anyone who was a bit of a prude. Our absolute passion for Bollywood and shared love for Madhuri allowed us to indulge in intellectually stimulating (or that's what I would like to believe) conversations for hours.

Here are a few things from her university life which I thought would be of interest to you:

Hand writing
Her flawless notes without a single misplaced blot of ink helped me study for many exams. I definitely found them better than what I wrote; ants dipped in ink and asked o roller skate with freedom! I remember I specially got her to write birthday cards for me as it added value to my present! If you are lucky enough to get her autograph, you will know what I am talking about.

Winnie the Pooh obsession
Her room was the Disney paradise - you would find Winnie the Pooh sheets, pillow cases , pencils, slippers and everything you could ever imagine. A major chunk of her room floor space was taken by a massive stuffed Pooh sitting right in the middle. Therefore it was not difficult to shop for her birthday!

Food cravings
We both were (I still am) big foodies. Time did not matter as long we felt hungry, which was much more often than others. We have cooked lavishly multiple times at 3 in the morning, had pizzas for breakfast and parathas with evening tea. Kudos to her for managing those cravings and shaping up when I know our crazy food appetite was and how difficult it is to control it.

Laughter fits
It goes unnoticed in her interviews even today. It would take the smallest glitch to happen to put her in fits. Even some funny tale that requires ridiculous amounts of imagination would work; I think it goes down to prove her depth and ability to visualise absurd ideas quickly, and place them in such a way that they make sense. It is something that is quite rear and unique. This also reflects in her performance, where she can execute a situation with sheer brilliance whilst looking absolutely natural, something she has been praised for time and again.

The perfect family
The chirpy bubbly ad adorable Pari has more to her. Her mother is an absolute gem herself; when I met her for the first time, I told Pari she has became my better friend. It is quite obvious Pari has inherited her intellect and wit from her mother. Her siblings are also full of zeal and zest, always living larger than life, and now shaping up as seasoned gentlemen. It is one happy go lucky family.

True friend
She is a fantastic friend to have. She graces you with warmth and empathy, and she is always ready for a laugh. Even with her busy schedule, she is approachable and she has always been there as a pillar of support to share the happiness or offer a shoulder to cry on. I have got some of the best memories with her and look forward to a lot in the future.

Pari may not be the completely on-paper mainstream heroine so to speak as of now, but I foresee her on the verge of being the a superstar. Like many others, I have the sensibility to admire her charm and charisma that has a lot more to offer. Pari and Bollywood are perfect yin to its yang; it satisfies the creative urge in her, and she is absolute true and honest to her theme. For her, conviction is paramount and therefore I hope the future films leverage from the exceptional talent she has to offer without taking away the mystique.
