Actor Aamir Khan is now Dr. Aamir Khan!

After Dilip kumar in 2009, Aamir Khan gets honorary doctorate by Maulana Azad National Urdu University for his contribution in the field of cinema.

His mother Zeenath Taher Hussain and sister Nikhat accepted the degree on his behalf. The actor, who is shooting in Australia, sent an email, thanking Manuu for honouring him.

Though Aamir Khan failed to turn up, his sister stole the show. In her brief address, Ms. Nikhat said that her mother wanted Aamir to be a graduate, and that he had promised her to get a degree. Manuu made it happen.

seriously educated people with highest qualification doesn't get that honour so easily...but the people in the films can easily win it for their contribution even though they are not highly educated...

U r missing the point...Its an HONORARY degree...Even Bill Gates got one from Harvard...People who excel in their fields are sometimes granted these kind of honors...
