I think she needs more time to be judged as successful or unsucessful..
If she can't be called successful,she isn't a failure too..
She can act so lets see..But judging her with Kat is wrong as Kat is more on oomph factor which Sona lacks.

And what exactly is the definition of success on this forum!? Box office acclaim or critical acclaim. Sona is one of the few stars who has had both. For an actress to have spend just three years in the industry she has 3 100 crore films to her name (seeing how everyone here is obsessed with numbers)

And with Lootera she garnered the critical acclaim every actress dreams of achieving so she's had both, just because her film flopped (very undeservingly) doesn't mean that she isn't successful despite the fact that she hasn't had the dream box office year she's had like she had last year - she still have projects lined up for 2014,

I've said this time and time again Sonakshi is a dark horse for this new era of actresses and if she plays her cards right the girl is definitely here to stay for a long time

Leave Katrina ,atleast she jiggles almost all the parts of her body. When Asin is considered successful and tops the list with 4 100 crore movies ,then even Sonakshi is successful.

Hopefully she dsnt waste her talent in only doing those 15 mins roles in movies wid 40 plus superstars...leave dat to ppl who hv no talent...her success formula wudnt remain for a long tym if she continues repeating it...its ok to do a few flowerpot roles for instant success but fr smthng more she will need to do better roles...saw an interview of hers where she said she wud continue doing potboiler movies n lootera was once in a life tym opportunity.for her sake i hope her role in those potboilers isnt just reduced to being a showpiece...

i'm taking the examples of succesful actress from 2000 & 2002

kareena kapoor and priyanka chopra...

both got best debut awards in all awards...

together with that and after that 2-3 years...riding on flops and with male stars succes if there is something...

then for kareena..in 2004...came dev and chameli...from there kareena's performance as actress got noticed..and she bagged spcl awards for her perfos...

2004 same time priyanka got awards for her negetive role in aitrazz...

then what happnd...again came back to zero...and flops..

and yeah in between priyanka was succes in male dominated movies like don, krish, and bluff master...with so many other flops...

2008 only we found priyanka in a intense role...fashion after that what's ur rashi , saath khoon maaf and last year one barfi...in this barfi only got box office and critical acclamation...which shows priyanka alone cant pull audience to theatres...she is also hanging on male star power...

kareena kapoor...one case why kareena is bigger than priyanka is she pulled a female oriented movie to success which is jab we met...but one dud also..heroine...

all ther roles were basking in the glory of male super stars...

if they can be called succesful bcose of all these...what's difference in sona...

she also got al most all the ddebut awards...she is producers and stars favourite for 100 crs masala movies...with in 3 years she have 4 super hits movies and one critically acclaimed movie(for which she can get all the critic awards this year) in her kitty and lots of projects...

she's the most succesful heroine of today... in bollywood..with bigger succes ratio for the first 3 yrs than kareena's and katrina's and priyanka's and even deepika...
