Swayam brought Rey home and settled him on his bed. To Swayam, all of this was new. He had never witnessed a close friend in so much pain and hurt. It hurt him twice as much than it did Rey, because he hated to see Rey in pain. It was horrible.
Rey crawled in the bed like a baby who just lost something special. "Rey do you want me to stay here for a while?" Rey shook his head, signaling a no. Swayam didn't want to leave but he had managed to get up, away from Rey. As he was about to walk out the door, he heard Rey pick up something and immediately turned. He decided he couldn't leave his best friend alone, especially in this state of mind. He finally caught a glance of what Rey held in his hand.
It was a picture. A picture that held many memories for Rey. It was Rey with his now gone love. They looked happy together and you could see the love they both had for each other in their eyes. Swayam glanced at Rey, who was sobbing even louder. Rey expressed his pain through his tears, his eyes, and that pain was seen by Swayam.
Swayam didn't know what to do. He walked over to Rey and started mumbling, "Everything will be alright. Just get hold of yourself." Rey just couldn't stop. Instead, he started to cry even more. Swayam pulled Rey up into a hug and Rey didn't let go. He needed a helping hand, a shoulder to shed tears on, a friend to share his sadness with. He just needed someone for comfort.

Rey awoke to a bright morning. The sun rays hit his eyes like light glaring off a mirror. It was a sunny morning, after having a dark stormy night. It signaled a new beginning but it was hard to believe for Rey.
He opened his eyes and blinked twice, to get his vision back to normal. He shifted his eyes towards the bed side table and glanced at the clock. It read 6:35 am. It was too early for Rey to wake up but what else was he going to do. He got up and took a deep breath. Rey walked into the bathroom to freshen up. There, he noticed his eyes were still red from all the crying he did the night before. He turned the faucet and let the cold water run.
He cupped his hands and took a handful of water and splashed it on his face. The cool touch of the water made him shiver, yet it felt so good. It made him feel fresh and made him look like he never cried, but it never faded away his memories. Memories can never be faded away, he now learned.
He quickly broke away from the sink and took a shower. He changed into jeans and a t shirt with a black zip up vest. After changing, he walked to the mirror and looked over himself. He looked as good as new. He looked happy, although he really wasn't deep down inside, he was still shattered but he was trying to move on. It was hard but he was trying his best.
Rey went downstairs and made himself some black coffee. Black coffee always hade him forget his pain. He used black coffee instead of alcohol to relieve his feelings and broken heart. Ever since she left, all he drank was black coffee. Since he was hungry, he fixed a poppy seed bagel for himself. He sat down on the dining room chair and ate silently.
After eating, he did the dishes quietly. When he finished he went into the living room and sat down on the sofa. He cupped his hands and put his face in it. He was thinking about everything that had happened last night. His thoughts were then interrupted by the doorbell. He got up and opened the door to see a man holding a brown box.
"Hi," the guy spoke. "Reyaansh Singhania?"
Rey was confused as to who this was and what he wanted from him. "Yes?"
He smiled. "I'm here with your delivery!"
"Delivery? What kind of delivery?"
"I don't know but I just need you to sign this." The delivery boy held out a clipboard with a pen. Rey picked up the pen and signed at the appropriate spot. "Thank you."
