There was an attack on India's parliament, There were a lot of people who died in that attack, Their families are going thru hell facing up to life after them

They were granted medals, the relief promised has not reached the family members

On the other hand a person Afzal Guru was found guilty amongst others and sentenced to death, The judiciary fullfiled its duties here

An appeal for clemency was made to the President, The President has the appeal sitting on his table for more than 4 months now. The Jawan family members are planning to return the bravery medals

People have argued that hanging of Afzal Guru will cause more bloodshed in Kashmir.

Do you think he should be hanged? If not what do you think is an appropriate punishment(bear in mind, the next level of punishment is Life Sentence in India means 14 years, with good behaviour 10-11 years in jail)

Do you think he should be freed, if yes what about the pain and suffering caused to the Jawan's families?

The next time when a terrorist is to be caught, The Jawans might be tempted to shoot them rather than catch them alive, can we blame them?

Is it ok for ordinary citizens of India to criticise the delay on the part of the President? If yes, what is your opinion😉

Tommorow if you are travelling on a plane to India and it gets hijacked to free Afzal what would be your reaction to it?

I think he should be hanged. Not sure why we hesitate someone to punish or kill when we know that beast harmed our jawans.
I really don't believe in keeping him in prison to rot. If he is in there are chances that terrorist may hijack and ask to trade him for something...just kill the dude and subtract one less terrorist to count.

Afzal Guru: To be hanged or not
Before hanging him, ** parade him all over India with a board on his back saying "this is what we do with terrorists"!
On the other hand, this is India we're talking about. We have always elected and reelected culprits of state sponsored terrorism, be it the '84 (anti) sikh riot, '93 bombay riots or 2002 Gujarat riots. I would be hardly surprised if this guy slips away too as leadership obviouly lacks the moral conviction to punish the guilty- be it inside the country or across the border!

I am personally against the death sentence for anyone.
I think that we are the ones to decide when a person should die. Is'nt that what the terrorists and murderes do ,they decide when a person has to die.
If our prisons are not strong enough to hold a terrorist ,that does'nt mean that we should execute the terrorist.I hope that they get the hardest and the worst kind of punishment that is possible.By hanging a terrorist are'nt we actually setting him free.
Anyways this is my personal opinion but I am sure there are people who will agree with me.
