Virat's P.O.V
As she fell on me, it was almost like a reflex but I wrapped my arms around her waist, so she wouldn't fall and all the weight would be bared by my shoulders. It was almost as if my arms were following their own direction, because it felt as if it was the completely normal thing for my hands to be on her. As soon as I put my arms around her waist, she kissed me and I was transformed into another world.
That kiss might have been unintentional but, the second Manvi touched me, my entire body seemed to come alive. If the feel of her lips was like that, then I wish she never took her lips off of me. I have been with so many women, but never in my life, have I ever felt this kind of reaction to anyone. Never have I ever been in a physical relationship, but I have kissed many women, but have never reacted this strongly to anyone before. What is wrong with me? Why am I letting her affect me so much? And she just freaking kissed me in front of my employees! Speaking of employees, what the hell is this Rohan doing? I am pretty sure in his contract; I never put anything about touching every single girl in this damn office.
"What the hell is going on in this office?"
One look at Manvi's face, and I can already tell what's going in that brain of hers, but what I don't understand is the reason why she is staring at me as if she can see past through my eyes and looking inside of me. One second she can't bear to stand in the same room as me, and the next second she is looking all lost at me.
"Ms. Chaudhry there is a height to irresponsibility. I gave you a simple task to do, to bring coffee for me, yet somehow you manage to spoil that too by dropping it all over my clothes. Then, you say that you are capable of being the senior head designer at Vadhera Designs, but every time your actions contradict what your words say. If you can't even walk across 2 feet without tripping and falling, then how in the world will you be able to handle high-profile clients and million dollar deals?"
Manvi looked so shocked and furious, but it looked like more than her, her newfound lover, Rohan seemed to be even angrier.
"I have not opened up some dating center, where long lost lovers meet, so if possible keep your hands off of each other during office hours."
And if possible Rohan go jump off a cliff and if you can't do it yourself, I can arrange that for you, and while I am at it, I can also manage to do something of those wandering hands of yours.
"Leave your sketches here and GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!"
As everyone starts leaving, Manvi stands in the same place, trying to regain her temper, but miserably failing to do so, it looks like she will blow any second.
"Do I have to tell you separately to leave the room, Ms. Chaudhry? If you have nothing to say, then you can leave as I have a lot of work to do."
"Oh, Mr. Vadhera, I sure do have a lot of things to say to you. And you sure as hell are going to listen whether you like it or not."
I knew it, as how long could you tame a jangli billi?
"First of all, everyone in the world makes mistakes, and that also includes you too, Mr. Vadhera! You're not God, who is perfect, so don't go around pointing out other people's mistakes. I admit it was my fault I tripped and dropped coffee on your shirt, whatever happened, I am sorry for that, but I certainly am not sorry for anything else as it was an accident. What happened now to you? You challenged me, and I just completed it. By the way, whatever thoughts your dirty mind has thought of, keep them to yourself as no one wants to listen to your nonsense. It's sad how low you can think about your employees, there is no relationship other than a professional relationship between me and Rohan. We don't share anything above that, he is a friends and that is all he will ever be. He is a good-hearted and kind gentleman, who respects everyone, and does not have such cheap thinking like you. So, before you talk, always think twice about what the hell you say! As far as my talent goes, then be prepared to eat your own words, as my sketches will blow you away, but this time I won't say anything about my talent, my work will prove that to you on its own."
After Manvi left, the sketches she had drawn were truly amazing. I have never seen the use of such bright colors and bold designs. Her personality and passion shows through her drawings. In comparison to Manvi's sketches, Maya's designs look like ramblings done by a three year old.
"Maya come in my office now"
"Yes, sir! Coming right there!" (Called through the phone)
"Maya, what is this? This is what you want me to look at, and finalize for the fashion show! It looks like a third grade scribbled a bunch of random lines together. You and Ms. Chaudhry are working side by side for this collection, from now on before you give in your so-called designs to me, go ask some help from Ms. Chaudhry. She might actually be able to help you out. So, instead of eavesdropping on my conversations with my other employees, pay attention to your work and own life. From now on if I ever catch you snooping around, you will have a termination letter at your desk the next minute. You are dismissed for today. Go home and report to the office tomorrow by 6:30 am, as you will be redoing today's work."
"Yesss..s.. Si.r.r. It won't happ..ppen again! Thhannk you! Bye!"
Good thing I caught her when Manvi stormed out of the room. As Maya tried to walk away quickly, she broke the vase, but didn't pick up and continued to walk away.I knew it was Maya who dared to try and listen to my conversations like this, and see as usual I was correct. She is just looking for the right moment to do something big, to attain attention. This is not for Manvi what I am doing. I am doing this so the peace and balance remains in my office, as I have no interest in putting up with gossip. Now maybe if I keep on repeating that to this heart, it will shut up.
As I am walking towards my car, I see Manvi waiting on the side of the street for a rickshaw. Now, who will tell this girl, that she is not going to be finding any kind of rickshaw or taxi here at 10 pm. But, who cares, after all it's not like she matter's to me, if she can't find anything, she can just walk home. I continue walking towards my car and I hear her mumbling her usual nonsense to herself,
"Stupid. Idiot. Kadoos kahin ka. Now, all because of that dumbo I have to wait here for a stupid rickshaw, which looks like it doesn't want to show up any time soon. Of course, the one time I need to take the rickshaw, the stupid thing won't come, but other than that everywhere you look there's rickshaws, left and right, every damn corner. Stupid Vadhera. If it wasn't for him, then I would have been peacefully at home by now, sleeping but nooo'after all is not a normal person who understands what sleep is, all he knows is work, work, and more work! Whoever he is going to marry, if any girl in his right mind marries him, is better off killing herself then living with him, because he might as well be married to work. Now, how am I going to get home so late'.."
The audacity of this girl, does this girl ever shut up? Is there any off button to her mouth? Never mind, what am I even thinking, Manvi Chaudhry and silence, not possible, that's like an oxymoron paired up together, two complete opposites. Yeah, like the person she is going to get married too, will actually be happy getting married to her. The person who decides to marry her will be absolutely mad himself, so they might actually make a good couple. Mad + Completely Insane = Perfect Couple. The poor man might just die of major migranes in the first few weeks after the marriage. Should I give her a ride? Later, if she complains to her family about this, and if Bhai or anyone else finds out, Maa and Dadaji will definitely murder me. I might as well give her a ride for the sake of Maa.
"Manvi, get in the car. I will drop you off, anyways your house is on the way, so just get in, and I'll give you a lift."
She stares at me in disbelief, as if I didn't ask her the question and she doesn't believe that I am asking her this. I swear I think she has chosen the wrong field, she should have gone into acting, and at least maybe there someone would have hired her as a comical character.
"Are you getting in or what? I don't have all night!"
Before she even responds, Rohan comes out of nowhere, and offers her ride. He completely ignores me and acts as if I am not even standing here in front of him.
"Manvi, what are you doing here so late still? Ohh'no ride? I am going down the way to your house, hop in and I'll drop you off!"
WHAT?!? He is going that way! He lives on the complete opposite side of the town, nowhere near the Chaudhry House. What is going on in his mind?
"ummm..Rohan, it's ok. I will just go by rickshaw. I am fine, you go now! We will meet tomorrow!"
Haha'ab kya karega Rohan ka baccha!
"I won't take no for an answer. Get in the car right now, otherwise I have some very useful information that di doesn't know, but I can inform her of, only if you would like. So either way, you're stuck, either I drop you or you can have fun trying to pacify your angry di when you get home. Now, I leave the decision up to you!"
Now, what does this guy know about Manvi, that her family is not aware of? How can he just blackmail one of my employees in front of me? Are you sure this is just about an employee or something else, comes from some deep hidden part of my mind. I don't want any more things related to Manvi in my head; this girl will drive me insane someday.
"Manvi, come with me in the car. Let's go! I am not asking you but ordering you as your boss, to get inside of that car. This is not the right time to be taking lifts from strangers."
"Well, Mr. Vadhera, as of now, the office is closed, and we are not working, in that building you might be my boss, but out here, we are just two strangers. By the way, Rohan is no stranger to me; in fact you are more of a stranger to me, then Rohan. So, thanks for your offer, but no thanks. I will be going with Rohan. Goodnight to you!"
As she walks with Rohan back to the car, her behavior infuriates me more than anything. Here I am giving her a favor, by dropping her home, and she refuses me and goes with that idiot, Rohan. Then, later she tells me that Rohan is just a colleague. Colleague, my ass! Who knows, if he will even take her home, I know how Rohan-type of guys are from the outside they might appear to be very sweet and flirty with women, but inside they have completely different thoughts about them.
Manvi's P.O.V
Maybe Virat was right for the first time. I think it would have been better to go with him, instead of Rohan. Or is Rohan better? I am so confused. Rohan does seem quite different from college, and I don't mean by looks. In college, he used to flirt but not like he does now, now he drops in a line everywhere, and barges in literally everywhere. Even now, when he thinks I am not looking, he throws weird looks towards me. No'No..Manvi'yeh tu kya sochri hain'Rohan is your friend from college, of course he has changed, everyone changes all the time. Rohan is such a nice, and good-hearted person, what kind of negative things are you thinking about him. I don't know, pata nahi kyun, for some reason, my heart seems a bit wary of his presence. I will just try to minimize our conversations as much as possible; after all we are going to be very busy for the next couple of months with the fashion show anyways, so it won't be even that hard.
"Manvi'Manvi...Manvi'"
"Huh'What happened?"
"Manvi, where are you lost? A penny for your thoughts, my lady?"
See, I am worrying for no reason, how could this guy try to cause harm to me or think negatively about me.
"Chipku! How cheap of you? Only a penny for my thoughts! My thoughts are priceless, you can spend the rest of your life working, and you still won't be able to earn enough money to listen to my priceless thoughts!"
"Oh! So, that's how you're going to be now? Well, Manvi, I am sorry to say, but your house is here, and it's time to go!"
"Yup, this how I am! Take it or leave it! Finally, I am home! I just want to go home and sleep! Thanks, chipku for the ride! We will meet tomorrow in the office!"
"Okay, bye Manvi! And since when did you start saying thanks to me? Looks like over the years you also learned a few manners as well! By the way, you don't need a ride in the morning do you?"

Finally, after I see him off, as I am opening the gate, I see Virat's white car near the lamp post. OMG! Was Virat following us? But why? He left earlier then us, the way he sped off, he probably should have been home by now! When I finally get in the house, and take a peek from the window, I see Virat's car leave. I am so confused, why did he follow Rohan's car all the way from the office? Maybe I can get the answer out of him some other day, as I know, if I ask him tomorrow he will straight out deny it.
In my room, I come in to see di still wide awake. Obviously, I was expecting her to be in my room, but I thought she probably fell asleep waiting for me, but who was I kidding, this is di we are talking about. She wasn't going to rest without seeing that I am in my bed sound asleep!
"Yes di, before you ask, I have already had dinner and am feeling really sleepy so whatever you have to say, tell me tomorrow morning!"
"I know Mannu that you are tired, but I have to tell you this, this is so important! Are you ready to hear the news?"
"Accha fine di, but then I want you to massage my head, while you talk, only then I will listen."
"Okay baba! Come here, I'll massage it. So, as I was saying guess who called today?"
"Khushal Tandon, my dream man!!"
Khushal Tandon is like my dream guy. If I ever get married to anyone, he has to look exactly like him and be just like him, which I know is like impossible, but who knows, it might happen! Uff'his body, pata nahi kaisi inti fit hain'kisiki ki nazar na lage!

"Of course, I am happy! Finally, all of this is coming true! You know Viren is coming on Sunday too! There is so much to do in the house still, and Mannu we have to go shopping! "

Now, that di will be getting married to Viren bhai, our families will form an even more stronger and firmer bond, which means I will have to meet that chep even more now, since now we have become like literally family! God, aap mere saat hi aisa kyun karte hain? Like couldn't you make Virat a part of some other family. With such a big happieness, you also had to add some form of a torture along with it, but you know what I won't let that Bandar affect my di's happiness in any way. And as of now either will I let him ruin my sleep, I just want to sleep and forget about that monkey and dream all night long about me and Khushal Tandon!
