It is interesting to see the different aspects of Akbar's character. In his decision, about Man Singh he sees the good qualities of his loyalty and respects how he is willing to honestly tell Akbar that he entered the harem and to stand up to him and look at him in the eye without fear saying, " that he made a vow to protect his Bua. " Jalal sees that he would make a loyal addition and if he has the courage to stand up to him and be loyal then his loyalty to him would be invaluable and there are no limits to what he might do to honor his word to Akbar.
Despite how he feels about Jodha, he is willing to tell her parents everything is okay between them when he could so easily tell them the real circumstances and hurt Jodha even more. But he will make things difficult for Jodha but not hurt others in their personal battle, so he shows integrity. This is why he goes along with her and is willingly to tell her parents what she wants, and though he makes her bathe him to humilate her he could have chosen to do something much worse.
So, in fact he respects her courage, despite his cruelty, ruthlessness and harshness he is unfailingly loyal, and fair in his decisions as a ruler. So, we see some qualities that will make Jalal into the great Akbar.
Well acted scene by Rajat and Pardini. He was especially good with his facial expressions. For such a young actor he is very talented. I'm glad they cast someone who would be close to Akbar's age. He married Jodha/Miriam Zamani/Harka bai in 1661 when he was 21/22.
