The show started off well and ever since, it has only improved further. The characters keep getting better and the story continues to be ever so impressive and consistent, with something new to offer every time. Unlike some shows, the general and basic concept of the storyline is being executed amazingly along with the simultaneous progression of the love story between Jodha and Akbar. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why despite my lack of interest in historical shows, I couldn't help getting hooked to this one.
Needless to say, the characters Jodha and Akbar are different and unique in their own way, at the same time, you can actually connect with them. Where Jodha is strong, free thinking, courageous yet soft at heart and considerate, Akbar is all that and more. He is ruthless, brave, cunning, challenging and at the same time, he's charming and too hot to handle. And obviously when these two individuals met, the fire between them was inevitable.
Where Akbar is a Lion, Jodha is no less than a Lioness herself. They challenge each other in every way possible and would do anything to win. But no matter how hard Jodha tries to stay away from Jalaal, he manages to step in her life every time. And now, his presence will be permanent. And as seen, Jodha has already started to change him for the better. He may claim to not posses a heart, but ever since Jodha stepped into his life, we have seen glimpses of it every now and then.
This Lion has finally met his match. Jodha is not someone who'd give in so easily. She puts up a great fight every time. But little does she know that this is exactly what makes her more irresistible for Akbar. She may be a trophy of his victory at the moment, but soon she will be the conqueror of his heart. A heart that might finally just beat.
Ending this post with a quote I feel seems fit to describe Jodha and Akbar in a way:
P.S: The bath scene today nearly killed me. These two have a sizzling and undeniable chemistry!
