Maan placed the glass on the table in front of him and pulled Geet. She fell onto him, with her hands resting on his broad shoulders.

Why are you getting so offensive about a stupid example?, he asked, softly.

Geet looked into those honey brown eyes and did not know what to say. She tried to get up and go but Maan held onto her hands tightly and pulled her closer to himself- by holding on to her waist .

Geet, do I need to explain anything?, he asked.

No, she said, looking away.

Are you sure?, he asked.

Yes, she said, Let me go!

Go where?, he asked.

Maan left her hands and waist, Go!, he said, softly. She looked at him for sometime and slowly moved away from him.

Geet walked early into the office the next day as she had scheduled an appointment with Sasha.

As she walked into Sashas chamber- Sasha looked at her watch and before she could react, Geet spoke up, On time- amnt I? Well, I learnt it from my husband, she said, sitting down in front of Sasha who glared at her angrily.

Dont forget that I am the chief architect here and I can get you out of the office in no time, she warned Geet.

Oh Really?, asked Geet, pushing her chair back a little and smirked, Take all the time on the planet you want to do that, she said.

Lets get to work I dont have time to waste, said Sasha, pushing a folder towards Geet.

Ah Ok, said Geet, not wanting to argue with a person like Sasha. Maan would not like it- when someone mixes his or her personal and professional lives.

Sasha went ahead and explained the project outline to Geet. Irrespective of how unprofessional Sasha behaved at times- What Geet admired about her- was how she was conceptually very clear. Maybe thats why she was Maan Singh Khuranas chief architect. Geet listened carefully and made some mental points of the conversation.

She smiled at the end of Sashas speech and said, Ok, I get it. Thank you!

No problem, she said. Sasha liked it when people thanked her for her conceptual clarity. She was proud of it- there was no one who could defeat her in what she knew very well and she always cashed upon it and became Maan Singh Khuranas trusted employee and his chief architect.

Alright then- when is my first trip to Hyderabad?, asked Geet.

Whenever you want!, said Sasha, not paying special attention to Geets question.

Tomorrow?, suggested Geet.

No- not that quickly. Take your time, take this file home- read through the details and then get plan your trips accordingly, suggested Sasha.

Sounds great!, said Geet, Alright, take care and see you, she said, and turned away and walked out of the chamber.

Maan heard a knock on his chamber door and said, Come in.

He did not look towards the door to see who it was. Geet walked in and sat in front of him, putting the folders on the table. Aap ne breakfast kiya?

Tumne kiya?, he asked, still not looking at her.

Maine pehle sawal kiya, she said.

Geet, the answer you are going to give me is the answer I would give you, he said, finally looking up, to see her.

Kyun nahin kiya?,

Tumne ne kyun nahin kiya?, he asked.

Time nahin thi. I had to meet Sasha early. I dunno why Shreyasi scheduled an early appointment with her

Thats cos she is going to her home-town to see her father- hes not well, he said.

Ok, said Geet, understanding the situation.

But why didnt you have breakfast?

I dunno, he said, looking into a folder again.

You amaze me. How can you not know why you dint eat, Mr. Khurana?, she asked.

Geet, get to the point, he said.

Come- lets go to Jupiter and quickly have breakfast and come, she suggested.

Brekafast date on a Tuesday morning, Mrs. Khurana?, he asked, smiling at Geets idea.

Yeah, she said.

Sorry, invitation rejected, he said, I have work.

Okay fine! Can you atleast come early in the evening?, she asked.

Why?, he asked.

Arey kya why? Nothing you remember apart from your work, she screamed.

Geet, he hissed, Lower your voice. You have no idea what destruction your voice can cause, he said.

Mr. Khurana, she yelled, angrily, trying desperately to lower her voice.

We need to go buy a gift for your brother- its his birthday tomorrow and we also need to buy Naintara and Dev something- its their wedding anniversary too- remember?

Oh is it?, he asked.

Geet, rolled her eyes hitting her hand to her forehead- Oh how did I forget Mr. Khurana- you remember your project details better than your family details, she said.

Hmmm, he said, not arguing over something, which was very true.

Ok then Ill see you at East End Mall at 5:30pm, she said, getting up and quickly picking up all her things and rushing out so that Maan would have no time to react.

Geet, he called back angrily but she did not stop, Be on time, please, she said, walking away very quickly.

A long and a better update soon. Sorry, I say thins every time but don't stick to deadlines. This time I will. If only my office and travel weren't that hectic.
