I'm not going to comment on her weight too much, but i do agree with Sidlum that it's ridiculous to post this in a newspaper. Yes, she has gained weight, but is it really that big of a deal??
About the pic, I think b/c the pic is in black and white, it looks weird. It makes her makeup contrast heavily with her face. I"m sure if it was in color, she would have looked just fine.
