" Geet, can I ask you something.? " he asked hesitantly, while she looked at him confused .
" Sure.! You can ask me anything." she said smiling but honestly confused at his weird behavior.
" Are you scared of me.? " he asked, closing his eyes leaving a shocked Geet to wonder what made him ask that.
" No... I.. Am...not. I mean I was a bit initially, but... But... You are nice to me too. So I am not scared anymore. But why are u asking me like this.!.? " she said hesitantly.
" Why didn't you tell me about those guys teasing you.? You think I didn't see it, I was coming to you thinking you will tell me but you changed the topic. Hadn't it been I seeing in the bus, what would u have done.? " he asked her the thing which was bothering him. Was she hiding it because she was scared to talk to him, or scared to share her worries.?
" I only hid it because I didn't want to create any scene over there, not cause I was scared. But I didn't mean to hurt your emotions, believe me. I trust you, and I know you are nice and care about everyone. " she said, honestly confessing.
" Please Geet, don't.! I am not as nice as you think. Without knowing anything, don't make any opinions about me. It might only hurt you later.!! " he said painfully, not able to listen to her praises for himself, shocking Geet yet again with his sudden rudeness. He got up to leave, when her words held him back.
" What did you do to those men.? " she asked scared from inside, with the sudden darkness surrounding him, be it after his own words or her own fears.
" They are not going to bother you anymore. They were thrown out the bus after coming here. It wasn't me, the others did.! " he answered her and left towards the road waiting for the car to arrive, leaving behind a confused Geet who was fighting with her own confusions and his changing behavior. Why is he so unreadable and confusing.? ********
