popularity is mostly based on looks

I feel that popularity is mostly based on how good looking/beautiful the star is.It's always the beauty that attracts people towards a star. That's why talent is always unnoticed. For example, Hussain and Hiten's popularity is mostly based on how good looking they are. I know several people out there who vote for these two just because they look good. Hussain may be a good dancer, BUT i hate to admit that he doesn't know the 'A' of acting. Hiten on the other hand is a good actor, BUT he is a terrible dancer. Still, people vote for these two men because their looks always attract the audience. I am not saying it's just the looks that you guys look for. Things like personality and acting ability also counts, BUT for most of you guys, it's the looks that matters the most. Talent is always unnoticed. For example, Ajay Devgan and Manoj Bajpai are terrific actors, but they are not popular. Why? Because they are not good looking! In the case of Nach Baliye, Gaurav Chopra and Bakhtiyaar Irani are terrific dancers, but they are not popular. Why? Because they are not good looking like the bigshot guys like hussain and hiten. These people's talent is always unnoticed because of people's attraction to good looking people.

Well.. On one hand I do agree that looks matter.. but I disagree that talent goes unnoticed.

Dunno about the others..but I personally began to like Husein..not coz of his looks (look at him as Chirag in Kyunki almost 7 years ago..and he was just about cute..nothing more nothing less), but his acting abilities..and over the years he has grown tremendously as an actor. He became popular coz of his screen character and obviously coz he "acted" well playing Chirag, Arjun followed by Sumit.. Subsequently, he worked on his looks too. At the time, no one knew Husein danced so brilliantly.. 😊

In Husein's case..first comes the acting..then the looks, dancing and everything else.. Husein is among those who are gifted and blessed with both..talent and good looks. 😉 😊

yeh ure write ppl go for looks. looks made hiten adn gauri stay cuz we all they cant dance but they still stayed in cuz they made a hot jodi. its not a bad thing, but some of the jodi^s dat went out and had talent went out b4 HG. HG just stayed in da game cuz of ure luks

talents n looks both matter

I dont think beauty counts though i am gal..cuz if ur heart is gud,,if u have no bad feelings for others than tht it....beauty dosent count for me for anything.... 😛

Take SRGMP Challenge 2005 for example... Debojit won. Ok perhaps this is my opinion, but i dont think he's extremely attractive. ya he's an ok singer... but... hmm:(

In Nach Baliye's case... i think Hussain and Tina were all rounders. They danced really well... they were very amiable with the contestants, and yes they're both very good-looking 😳
