So wrapped up in her imagined slights and sorrows of being a second wife, she cant see beyond her humiliation as the "other woman" and in the process is pushing Nikhat towards a life of humiliation?
Which mother stands by quietly and is still insistent on her daughter marrying a man who is spineless? Or perhaps that is only what she understand cos Rashid is spineless!
