School-college days, I was a big fan of Sachin. I used to fight with almost every Bengali who was a fan of Sourav. Especially boys enjoyed teasing by picking Sachin-Sourav topic. Once bunked classes(along with other friends) to have a glimpse of Sachin. The whole day standing outside Grand Hotel in a crowd, almost got hit by police "lathhi-charge"(since crowd went wild and impatient). But unfortunately, the players did not came out of the hotel for net-practice , the day was just wasted. Of course later I got to see Sachin playing in a Indo-Pak test in the Eden Gardens.

With time, I feel I have become more reserved when it comes to be someone's fan. I have lot many favourites and still have the urge and curiosity about their work and know about them , but I don't worship them or overlook their negative sides. Try to be as much rational as possible.
