Apparently Vivek Oberoi is in depression over Ash-Abhishek's engagement

Public interest is high in knowing actor Vivek Oberoi's take on former girlfriend Aishwarya Rai's engagement to Abhishek Bachchan. When one of his colleagues called up and informed him about the engagement he didn't react. "He kept quiet for a long time and changed the topic. Vivek is very level-headed and knows that any wrong move will excite speculation," says our source.

"He will socialise with friends but not with the media. He wants to avoid unwanted circumstances where he would be hounded by the media for a reaction. Even a perfunctory 'no comments' can be misinterpreted. It's not that Vivek is not happy for Ash. He genuinely loved her, and he feels happy about her decision. But needless to say he is depressed and would rather keep to himself," says our source.

Vivek is known to have been madly in love with Ash. "He was not only planning to buy a plush duplex at Lokhandwala for her but had also decided the name of their kids. It took time for Vivek to get over with Ash and move on," says our source.

Vivek and Gurpreet broke up way before he got involved with Ash, after his break up with Gurpreet he was rumoured to be getting close to Rani. However, that ship sailed when he chose to badmouth and lie about Salman. He completely changed when he was with Ash, and many in the industry are still disappointed in him.

I understand why he would be upset, because it wasn't that long after Ash and Vivek broke up she and Abhishek started dating. It must've been hard for him to see his ex-girlfriend and his now ex friend dating, so soon after his break up from her.

Oh well, all is well that ends well. Vivek will survive!

oh yea. now i remember. vivek broke with his ex fiance during movie company days. i think the reason was he couldn't give time to her and they decided to broke up.
