My dear friends...

Im going through a very difficult situation...one of my Ex-classmates from college just as old as me, has been active on social networking sites like Facebook...some stranger guy messaged her some months ago and she replied... his first message was pretty innocent and she didn't see any trick or malice in that...day to day his messages started becoming frequent and mostly they used to convey her that he is lonely and just needs someone to talk...
she was weak minded and did not once stop him... once she told me about her new friend and also his need to just 'Talk'
that was maybe 10 days back..i immediately recognized his true intentions behind the messages and told her to block him...but she ignored me and continued her own thing...
then came a message which said she is the only thing which is keeping him happy in life and he wants to meet her...he wants to live with her and he will do 'anything' she wants...(understand the double meaning)
she used to forward me his messages regularly and this time she too felt something amiss in his 'innocent' messages...this time she heeded my warning and blocked him...

but then all hell broke loose... He made a entire new ID and started sending her abusive messages and he accused her that she led him on the entire thing and she just wanted to have cheap online S** related fun..
last night she kept online whole night and he abused her whole night i believe...
this morning i got 20 odd messages from her saying that she has let down her parents and herself by entertaining such person and she is ending her life..as she has no reason left to live..

i have been trying to call her and get in touch with her since morning and there is no answer on any of her phones...she is not online at FB either and im scared and shocked..

there are people on this forum whom i really care about and who are active on Facebook and other similar sites...
im not telling you to stop using them but just be careful and for any reason don't give any stranger a chance to rule your life...zindagi khel nahi hai...think about your parents...

despite taking precautions if you fall victim to online bullying then please share it with your friends or even parents...don't keep it under wraps...

i don't know if i made a mistake by making this post...just wanted to share my predicament as im very disturbed..

No you are not wrong in sharing this. There are many innocent girls out there and if you were able to get through to even 1 of them, their innocence could be saved.

I wish you would've told your friend that everybody in life gets deceived at least once. Nobody gets by without having been deceived or lied to in their entire lives. This time it was her. You should've also told her that it is alright and he is being rude with her on the net which is not acceptable but at least that is all that he can do. She is safe and he can't come and reach her in person. She should deactivate her fb account permanently, if she is badly addicted to fb than make another account under a different name and to NEVER let strangers into her personal life like this.

Plus you should've told her that this was GOD's way of teaching her one of the morals in life and she should accept it as a blessing that whatever happened, happened over the internet and she didn't actually go and meet with this person. People make mistakes and she did too but it didn't make her a bad person, just taught her right from wrong. Also, if she thinks she has let her parents down then she should try to be a more dutiful daughter from now on. That will be the best way for atoning for her mistake.

Plus one more thing, boys usually misinterpret the caring nature of girls as something else. They might end up thinking that the girl is into them so always maintain an arm's length distance with men specially with unknown men to avoid giving a false impression.

Keep trying to reach your friend. I hope she does not make any hasty decisions. Be strong Vibha, you friends are with you.😊

You done a good job by posting this... It will help many teen girls... Usually victims of net bullying are teens who are not mature enough to understand who is loyal who is not... Almost everyone uses fb nowadays but be sure you add only people you know... Dont add STRANGERS no matter how lonely they pretend to be because you CAN'T trust anyone nowadays... So its better to avoid talking to strangers its the best you can do... I hope your friend is fine... She can deactivate her account immediately...

OMG!!😲
That's disgusting man, how could she believe such a jerk.
and if she has committed this mistake in innocence she should leave the past behind and move on now, rather than crying over spit milk!!
finishing yourself will not sort out the matter, instead it will increase more pains for the people close to you. your parents especially. It'll be a curse for them, and no doubt you'll make their life a hell after doing so. it's better to forget and move on, and not to do such a blunder again. In such situations one needs to be strong and face bad. I hope everything goes well.😊
