~Part Two~
Asad casually walked into the room, texting Ayaan.
"Hey, Zoya," he called, without looking up.
No response.
"Zoya?" Asad called a little louder. Where is she?
Nothing. Nada. Zero.
Zoya was nowhere to be found. Panic quickly took over Asad.
The quiet sound of sniffling snapped Asad out of his chain of thoughts. Zoya.
He walked over.
Zoya was kneeling in the back corner of the room. Her shoulders were shaking, and she was sniffing.
"Zoya?"
She slowly turned, and looked up at him. Her eyes were red and sad, and tears streamed down her cheeks in rivers.
Asad kneeled down next to her.
"What's wrong?" he asked worriedly, his eyes mirroring his concern.
Zoya pointed to what she was sitting behind. And he saw it. Oh my God.
Zoya's painting. There was a large footprint in the middle of the canvas, and the rest was covered in graffiti.
"Zoya," said Asad quietly. "Who did this?"
Zoya flipped the canvas over, and ran her fingers over a large cursive "T" written in black permanent marker.
Tanveer.
Asad's hands furiously clenched into fists.
Zoya began to sob, leaning on Asad, burying her head in his chest.
Asad's heart broke for her. Her dream was shattered. She looked just, so broken. He wrapped his arms around her and stroked her back. The tingles flowed through his body, as he realized their close position.
"Shhh," he murmured soothingly. "Please don't cry, Zoya. It'll all be okay. It's all alright."
Asad's warm breath into Zoya's hair caused shivers to go through her spine.
Asad brought a hand to her cheek, lifting her head up to look into her eyes. He wiped the cascading tears away with his hands, and tucked her side bangs behind her ear.
Stroking her cheek, he whispered, "You can fix this. I know you can."
He smiled a teensy bit, "Now, where's your beautiful smile?"
Zoya shook her head, a cute pout forming on her face. She looked away.
Asad raised an eyebrow and smirked. "No? Okay..."
He lifted his hands, and Zoya shook her head furiously. She got up and ran around the room, with Asad chasing her.
"NO! Asad, no!" Don't even think about it.
Too late.
Asad grabbed her and tickled her with all his might. She shrieked, and exploded in a series of high-pitched giggles, collapsing on the ground.
"No, Asad! Stop it! Stop it!" She screamed, trying to ignore the warm and fuzzy feeling that took over her.
"Don't stop? Okay!" smirked Asad, and he tickled her even more. Adorable.
"AAAH! Asad!" Why am I so nervous?
A little while later, they were both tired. Zoya was sitting with Asad, still on his lap. Asad was panting, sure that Zoya could hear his erratic heartbeat. Zoya breathed heavily, putting her adorable dimples on display. She could feel the butterflies in her stomach jumping on a trampoline.
Asad turned Zoya to look at him.
"There's that gorgeous smile," he whispered. And, without thinking, he placed a small, soft kiss on one of her dimples.
A soft shade of pink crept it's way across Zoya's fair cheeks. Aah, I'm blushing again!

A few days later...
Asad walked into the art room during lunch.
"Hey, Zoya," he called.
She turned around, smiling widely.
"Guess what?" she beamed. "I finished my painting! Come and look!"
"That's great!" Asad smiled, and stood in front of the painting.
It was even more beautiful than the first. It still had the sky, stars, sunset, clouds, rainbow, rain, snow, and the ocean, with everything faded and blended together. This time, Zoya added a pink flowery field, and roses falling from the sky.
"Zoya," started Asad. "This is just amazing. It's beautiful. It's even better than the first." He took a deep breath.
"You're amazing," he whispered, and took her hand.
Zoya turned beet red, and fluttered her eyelashes down, like butterfly wings shyly.
Entwining her fingers with his, he said, "You're going to win this. I know it."
Zoya smiled again, and exclaimed, "It's all thanks to you. Thank you so much, Asad!"
"I can't believe it! I finished the painting! Yay!" she squealed and jumped. She threw her arms around Asad's neck, and he lifted her up, spinning her around.
Bringing her back down to the ground, Asad kept his arms wrapped around Zoya's waist, as Zoya's were around his neck.
Asad inhaled Zoya's sweet scent of strawberries.
Zoya said, "Asad, the art competition is this Friday, at six o' clock. Can you make it?" Please, please, please!
Zoya's big brown eyes stared at him, and her plump lips formed into a cute pout, making the most adorable puppy-dog face that Asad had ever seen. Asad ran a hand through his hair.
"Look, Zoya, I actually have basketball game then," started Asad. Seeing her face fall, he quickly added, "But, I'll skip the party after the game. I'll do my best to get here as fast as I can. I promise. But, I'll be kinda late." I hope I can pull this off.
Zoya's face lit up again.
"Yay!" she grinned, and Asad enveloped her into a warm hug.
