Boy! does Uma Ben know how to lay it on thick. Felt really bad for Chhanchhan and all the guilt Uma Ben made her feel with her clever words and manipulation. Now Uma Ben is using even Chhanchhan's weakness/ quality of wanting to make things right for everyone or need for greater good over individual desires against her. Yes, Dia this does beg the question if Uma Ben knows Chhanchhan will sacrifice for family peace, then why is she bad for Borisagar or her son, except that she is a threat to her total dictatorship.
Ranjana is too consumed with her jealousy and disappointment with her marriage to even give a sympathetic ear to Chhanchhan. I actually feel bad for her for leading a life where she has to squash most of her desires and grudgingly obey Uma Ben dictates. It will be a long road before she sees Chhanchhan as an ally to realize some of her desires.
Also, glad that ChanMan do act like a normal newly married couple. Manav's anger and disappointment was to be expected and Uma Ben thwarted Chhanchhan idea of consulting him before making a decision. Uma Ben plays her cards well. Manav's temper tantrum was well within character and again points to how Manav is really not aware of all the politics within his house and especially among the women. Looking forward to see how the young couple makes up.
Sarabhais are a welcome sight and when Dadi's dream comes true that will be the last episode of the show!!
Liked the episode overall, Sanaya was very good today and the last scene was really well done by both actors.
Yep, Umaben has finally figured out how to control Chhanchhan ... through her goodness and her desire to keep everyone happy, and to keep the family united. As to why she would still want to get rid of CC, despite this quality, which actually makes her an ideal bahu ... I think it is not only about retaining dictatorship, but also about retaining control and remaining Queen Bee ... Umaben likes to be the one in charge ... and Chhanchhan is not a follower like the other bahus. She questions, she comments, she has her own opinions and is not shy of voicing them. And usually they are right ... Till now Umaben has been the sole arbitrator of right and wrong in the house. She cannot stand anyone challenging her position or becoming the central figure. Which Chhanchhan can very easily become.
I know a lady EXACTLY like Umaben 😆
Also Umaben is a woman with deep prejudices and she does not change her opinions easily ... it will take a lot for her to admit she was wrong about Chhanchhan ... at that point the show will end 😉
Ranjana is not happy in her marriage at all ... she has so many unfulfilled wishes and desires ... Sanjana is too dumb to know that Manthan is dissatisfied and Kaumudi is too gentle and meek to protest ... Ranjana is the only one who has voiced her dissatisfaction till date. I feel sorry for her ... feel sorry for Kaumudi too ... but more sorry for Manthan than for Sanjana 😛 It will be interesting to see how these relationships are sorted out by Chhanchhan... am looking forward to that ...
The ChanMan hubby wife scenes are really good ... very very realistic ... love the embarrassment and awkwardness with which Manav buys an intimate gift for his wife 😛 ... even the lady in the shop was good, very stern when she thought the guys were just loafers in to ogle ... then relaxing slightly when Himanshu mentioned Manav's wife ... and finally being helpful when Manav showed how embarrassed he was, yet wanted to surprise his wife ... that scene was well written and acted!
And their fight scene was very good ... could feel for both sides, neither was wrong in their part ... Manav so disappointed that he just let loose at poor Chhanchhan, and Chhanchhan torn between being loving wife and good DIL ... both Anuj and Sanaya were so good there ... especially Sanaya's last expression of total hurt ... 😭
