I shut the book in frustration. It's almost evening now and I have been trying to concentrate since morning when I came back to the hostel after dropping Raya off at the airport. I feel lonely, and even though it shouldn't, but it still surprises me to feel that way. I have always been the one to find peace in solitude but after a week of staying amidst the hustle and bustle of a wedding in the Khurana house, I feel the room I have been living in for the past three years to be frighteningly silent though I know it's just a passing feeling and everything will be back to normal the next day when I'll be rejoining college. I sigh and open the book again, trying to convince myself to actually study this time. It's only a few more minutes of futile attempts of distracting myself when my phone rings. I check the caller ID and answer the call in as normal a voice as I can manage. 'Hello?'

'Hi Geet! How are you?' His voice reaches my ears and I cock an eyebrow at his question. Just like I was in the morning. I don't say that out loud and answer him casually, asking the same from him.'So what've you been up to?' He sounds a bit more relaxed. 'I was... studying.' I tell myself it isn't a lie. I was trying to study, wasn't I? When he doesn't answer for a few beats, I wonder if the line has dropped. 'Maan? Are you there?' He clears his throat. 'Yeah. I was thinking that maybe we could meet up...' He trails off and I ask him why he wants to meet . 'I... uhh... I... oh yeah! I need help in algebra.' I half smile. I know why he suddenly needs help from me. And that too in algebra. 'You don't have to do this, Maan.' He fumbles a bit. 'I'm fine, really.' I try to reassure him in a calm voice.

writing mein toh Reet... .super nahi supreme fast hai... who update uske hubby ke aane se pehle tha... am thinking what will come now...☺️☺️
