In fact, I think I caught the lines at one point yesterday itself: he says that not one of his begums (so he has several already!) had the courage that Jodha displayed. And that she is like a desert rose. Sharifuddin was looking on in considerable dismay, wondering what was coming next!

But the interesting question here is this: where did Jalal get hold of Jodha's portrait? Is he a closet painter? If so, as he has seen her now from every possible angle, there would be no lack of material for his artistic vision!.

Or did he, as they do in the police procedurals with the sketches of suspects, describe her to his court artist and correct the artist's effort as it proceeded?

Intriguing, for in those days, he could not have googled out a photo of Jodha!
