Hey All,

I am brand new to the KSBKBT forum. I don't know much about the story but from all the posts I've read...I seem to know just enough. Anyways...I have been very much intrigued by the idea of a KT/Manthan relationship though it seems like the show won't be following that route. Oh well...we can atleast let our imagination run wild...no? Having said that, here's a story that I've cooked up. The beginning might bore you but I promise that it'll get better. Hope you'll enjoy it. And do share your thoughts!

Part 1:
Of all the people in the world, Tulsi least expected Manthan's to cry. Manthan, who was forever sarcastic, who never left a single opportunity to insult KT, Joydeep, Nakul, Lakshya, and even Tulsi herself, his grandmother, had tears in his eyes? This was certainly a side that Tulsi had not seen and nor had she expected to see. As he was always brash, rude, cold, & most of all, the most arrogant that she had seen. Tulsi knew that there was a reason behind this attitude of Manthan's & she also knew that he would never share his true feelings with anyone. She had been very disturbed since she'd found out how much her grandson's disliked…no…hated…yes, hated each other. There had to be a way of bringing her grandchildren together. And this was easier said than done.

Manthan did not know what had overcome him. He was outraged at the thought of him showing emotion in public. Why did he do that? But he got no answer back. He had noticed a change in himself since a few days back. No matter how hard he tried to control himself or force himself to be his old self, it didn't work. But today was the limit. He had actually cried! He had been noticing all the little things that Joydeep had been doing for Bhoomi, his darling sister. And no matter how much he tried to tell himself otherwise, he was touched. He was touched by Joydeep's genuine concern for Bhoomi, his thoughtfulness, his patience, and care for her. He had hated him with a passion when he had found out that Bhoomi was being made to marry Joydeep. Up till then he had just disliked Joydeep and ridiculed him at any given chance but that dislike had instantly turned into hatred. It had been six months since Bhoomi & Joydeep's wedding and slowly Manthan had realized how much Joydeep loved Bhoomi. Not only had he accepted her but also the supposed baby that she was supposed to be carrying of another man. Yes, she had finally revealed that she had faked a pregnancy. No one was happier than Karan that day. His daughter had not crossed her limits. He could, once again, hold his head high. But he was still miffed with her about not being honest and not trusting her father enough. Tulsi dadi had tears of joy and she had run to their home temple to thank Thakurji for this unexpected happiness that he had showered upon her Karan. Finally, her worries for Karan had lifted. She knew that Karan would not need any more support from anyone and would be able to handle himself.

For a guy who never lied, no matter what, to start hiding facts about his broken marriage just to keep his wife from getting into trouble was just the beginning of what had changed Manthan's heart about Joydeep. And then of course, to add to that, the little things that Joydeep tried to do just to see a smile on Bhoomi's face. And among all, two things that Joydeep had done had finally won Manthan over. One, Joydeep, with of course the help of his gang, had done a makeover. Joydeep didn't want Bhoomi to feel ashamed of calling him her husband so he had enlisted his friends help and the result was just…jaw dropping; not only for the family but also for Joydeep's wife. At first they hadn't recognized him when he had walked in during dinner but when he finally said, "Dadi, kya hua? Main achcha nahi lag raha?" was when Tulsi had shrieked, "Joydeep?" That's when he had very confidently (after of course looking at all his friends for assurance & approval) walked over to Tulsi and said, "What's wrong babes? Haven't you seen a good looking guy before?" This of course left everyone's jaws hanging (except his friends who had worked hard on writing his dialogues upon his entrance after his make over and were now trying their best to look equally shocked & keep straight faces).

hey people...did u not like the story? i'm guessing so b/c i see only 2 comments! i know it might be annoying that writers ask for comments before they post the following part(s) but think about it from our point of view. we spend so much time writing & posting & if there's no response then we feel down & would rather not continue as we feel that no one liked it. so enough of me complaining and for all u lazy bums...am i gonna have to tickle ur funny bone to get a reaction outta u?

Joydeep then walked over to Tanya and putting an arm across her shoulders said, "Mother-in-law, aren't you looking extra …cough-cough…sweet today? I bet it must be the result of father-in-laws love, right?" Tanya turned a deep shade of pink at hearing Joydeep's words and smacked him lightly on his cheek lovingly while continuing to blush. And Joydeep returned the love with giving Tanya a quick light kiss on her cheek. It was only when Karan had walked over to the duo and held Joydeep by his ear when everyone seemed to come out of their shock and look on in amusement. "Ay Mr. Son-in-law, this is my wife that you're flirting with," said Karan playfully. Joydeep turned to him smiling innocently and then Karan hugged him lovingly. Manthan had been quite pleased with Joydeep. He knew that Joydeep had done this only for Bhoomi and he only hoped that Bhoomi had liked this surprise. He had been noticing that Bhoomi had not been too kind with Joydeep. She refused to acknowledge his presence when they were in a room together and didn't seem to notice any of the things he did for her. He was beginning to feel sorry for Joydeep but he also knew that he himself was the sole person that noticed that Bhoomi was changing. The change was so subtle that no one noticed but Manthan. He had caught Bhoomi staring at Joydeep deep in thought several times. And each time the look had clearly told him that she was trying to figure Joydeep out. And somewhere she was beginning to like Joydeep.

Manthan knew that this was one thing that he shouldn't point out to her, at least not yet. She needed more time to understand her husband and the depth of his love. With all these thoughts running in his head he looked over to see Bhoomi's reaction to Joydeep's makeover and what he saw left him smiling. Bhoomi looked quite taken aback and Manthan caught a smile escape her lips. "At last, thank god," he murmured to himself. That was the first time that he had seen Bhoomi actually smile since the day of her marriage. Manthan was all smiles himself but didn't realize it till he looked up and gave an even wider smile to the face studying him. When he saw the expression on her face change into a look of disbelief & confusion, he realized who he was smiling at and almost immediately, to cover up, gave an irritated look towards her. But when she still didn't look away he tried to bring anger into his eyes & face but for some reason could not bring himself to do it. Her eyes seemed to look right through him and from her face he could tell that she knew that he was trying to mask his feelings. He tore his gaze away from those captivating eyes and tried to avoid her through the rest of the dinner.
