Why would you suicide and end your life? I think that was a wrong message. He could has changed her in different ways but not like that. What's your thoughts?

I thought he was selfish to kill himself, because she told him in the end how much she loves him but he didn't even said that to her.

i have just avoided the film becoz of this thing only. also ppl says that the lead keeps suffering and suffering and suffering till the end...and its the suffering that made the movie blockbuster. i have to make up my mood really hard to go through such a film.

A love story having a tragic ending is more intense and enduring IMO.

When two people loves each other, they want to be there for each other, support one another. So i Disagree with the ending.

right on...I watched it after the whole Jiah Khan fiasco and I couldn't help, but feel that the ending of Aashiqui 2 could have been different...it was a stupid end, really..and such a wrong message to send to the audience...

I've not watched the movie yet.

Suicide amongst alcoholic and substance abusers is quite prevalent. Many are chronically depressed as well and unable to deal with their challenges in a positive manner. Once the downward spiral begins, it is exceptionally difficult to recover. I'm glad they didn't go for a happily ever after ending. Those fairy tale fantasies are unrealistic. Tragic endings are more emotional and raw.

I don't think suicide of a character is meant to encourage suicide. It merely reflects what happens to some people who go down that path.

I hate tragic stories still i will say A2 end was good. The man never left alcohol and he want way far in that alcohol obsession. He just dont want arohi to get ruineed. That is why he ended his life bcoz he know he will never comeback to normal. It indicates his love so wahtever lol

It was a true reflection of an alcohol addict; except he had more sense and realized that he would destroy the people the he loved with his addiction. People in that state cannot think straight and the easiest way out is to end their life; as was shown

well the worst part was , he was trying but ppl around him never made him get off his habit, the way they show how others taunting and makes him takes up drinking when he is sober is annoying ..

i disliked ending too, though agree not allow abusers see positive life but it was pathetic ending , in that case should never show him as someone who want to change, and itna suffering, it was simple story thoda zada torture kar diya ...

like said before a ending like soundtrack would have be so nice to see

i felt it justified his selfless love for d lady.. becos after trying hard also when he cudnt quit alcohol he saw hw he hurted her and is ruining her life... obviously as its a lovestory one hjas to sacrfice and make it tragic.. and becos RJ ended up being shown as a true AASHIQU thats why the film did so well.. ppl thought such guys do nt exist in real and got more connected to the film.
