Amit survived long by hiding behind Ravi and using Ravi as a sounding board for his bitching sessions about the others. He like Rupali is also very status conscious person and initially used to look down upon Ragini (since she was a non celebrity) and Rakhi since he thought they were beneath him.
He survived fine till Arshad decided to ruffle some feathers and commented on Amit being Ravi's spot boy.
This rattled Amit's ego and then he started distancing himself from Ravi and tried to prove he was his own man by alligning himself with DT & Ragini.
When DT left followed by Ragini, our man lost his nerve and in frustration tried to do some viscious bitching about Ravi & Rahul with Rupali. When he found out Baba had been informing ravi about his talks, he totally lost it and out of fear started throwing tantrums and tried to regain sympathy using Neeru's name.
His fear of eviction made him get into crying bouts before Arshad announced he was safe.
Now after pretending to everybody that it was his worry about Neeru that made him behave the way he did, he again tried to gain back Ravi's friendship by dramatically declaring - "Aapka Amit wapas aa gaya".
As for Neeru, isn't it funny he misses Neeru the most when he is facing some problem in the house.
First instance when he had the fight with Rakhi.
Second instance when Arshad called him Ravi's spot boy. Then he even kept pressurizing Rakhi to give him some message about Neeru and distanced himself from ravi using Neeru's name
Third fourth and fifth instance - when he got nominated.
I may be wrong and this guy may be genuinely suffering from depression, but somehow after seeing the masala episode I feel he is just doing a drama. I have seen people like this.
