FACING BRUTALITY *PART 3*CHAPTER 27

*back in payals room*

"I am dangerous for him peeg, im so sure his life is in danger because of ME. I cannot stay here anymore, I NEED to leave. For him. I will le-"

"Khu-shi"

Before she could even complete her sentence the man standing at the door stopped her, having heard the entire conversation and knowing her decision he now knew why she chose to remain silent.

Khushi was trembling, she was very well aware of Arnavs anger however she was never subjected to it. Maybe now was the time to gain some experience she thought.

"Sorry to disturb you and Akash at this hour Payal, I hope you don't mind"

"Arnav! How can you even say that, Khushi is my best friend and she can never disturb me. Please I request you to never say that again, EVER."

"My apologies for that Payal. May I take her back."

Arnav had forgotten that Khushi was "nothing" to him in terms of a relationship and atm the closest to her was Payal. He need not be too formal with Payal and he made a mental note to keep his anger in check with Khushi. HELL he was burning with rage, when he stopped at the door he couldn't help but eavesdrop, never in his life had ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ever done such a thing but with this unpredictable woman-child he had to and LOOK what the outcome would have been if not for his interference.

Khushi had understood that she was in trouble, by now she should be a master in such situations but this one seemed to be out of her control. She silently walked back to her room with Arnav and saw Akash look at them surprised after he had returned from the lobby which meant he was not the one to inform Arnav, then who?

"When I didn't find you in your room I figured you would be with Payal".

He had already answered her question now the problem was how much had he heard of her conversation.

"Arnav I '"

"Khushi talk to me when you have the guts to trust me".

He left her standing outside her room with a shocked expression; she had no idea of the extent of hurt she had caused him until now. She had divulged in the fact that something was different between her and Arnav, it was not just a casual liking or heavy attraction, she had always trusted him and the urge to protect him was so strong that she had planned to leave him forever so she could protect him. Khushi went to sleep thinking of how to approach Arnav the next morning.

When Akash had entered his suit he had so many things on his mind to ask Payal but looking at her worried expression he set aside his interrogation and planned on cheering her up.

"You know Payal, a woman turns old sooner than men!"

"hun? Why would you say that? That's a stupid assumption"

"no, no im right. You guys are so intelligent that you think taking up the worlds problems on your shoulder is your soul right, hence the wrinkles and tension and in short turning old and ugly."

"AKASH I HAVE ALL THE FREAKING RIGHT IN THE WORLD TO WORRY ABOUT KHUSHI".

Poor Akash had expected anything but this, he wanted to rile her up and make her argue so in the end he would make her forget everything by kissing her but she here looked like mother Teresa protecting her children.

"Payal I didn't mean-"

"Then what did you mean?? You have no idea what Khushi has given me. I HAVE ALL THE RIGHT IN THE WORLD TO BE SCARED FOR HER, FOR HER WELLBEING, I'"

His heart skipped a beat at her vulnerable voice and the break in it. Ofcourse he was very well aware of the bond between the best friends after all he and Arnav were the same but now, witnessing it with his own eyes made him reach out to the girl infront of him and he engulfed her in a tight hug while sitting next to her on the sofa where she had been sitting with Khushi a while ago.

"I really didn't me-"

"I know, im sorry"

"will you let me complete my sentence woman." He chuckled at her sorry expression. For sure she hadn't meant to be rude, it was her way of taking out the frustration, fear and anger and he was glad she trusted him enough to show him this side of hers.

"never show this side of your to anyone, shaadi kaise hogi thumhari?"

"ho jaye gi, you need not worry."

"why shouldn't I worry, I need to find ways to keep you calm after marriage."

"I will not have an extra marital affair with you, sorry!"

She knew he was playing around with her, they had hardly spent anytime together and marriage was nowhere on the cards but she liked it, him being beside her however she needed to concentrate on Khushi right now. her life could wait!

After 15 mins of sitting in silence when Akash looked down, he saw Payal asleep in his arms, gently lifting her off the sofa he laid her on her bed and tucked her in before leaving after 10 mins of admiring her. She was strong, she was lovable but she had her own fears, fear of losing the people she held important. They might or might now go much further in their relationship but he sure wanted to cherish every moment spent with this woman infront of him, so different from the blondes that surrounded him all the time. With the thought of talking to Arnav in the morning Akash drifted of to sleep.

Anahita had finally come clean, her 10 years of misery were laid down infront of her husband along with proof. She knew she didn't need to justify herself but in the course of 10 years she had learnt from her nemesis that proof was more important than breathing when handling an opponent.

"Anu I believe you but couldnt you have come before. 10 years is a long time Anu... your kids needed you, I needed you but you were never there. There is no way we can fix things now." surprisingly Rishab was calm, she had expected him to be angry, happy anything but calm.

They were in Rishabs study, the proofs scattered on the study table while Anahita sat right infront of her husband.

"Please Rishab dont say that. I did this for you, for our kids. I stayed away from them, from my love. Please just give me a chance to explain and make things right. Its been soo long since you fought alone, now I want to be with you." The vulnerability in her voice was so tangible. She reached out to grab her husbands hand but he moved back and stood up to walk towards her.

"you would do anything right?" the challenge ever present in the Raizada blood.

"meri jaan ki kasam!" however she was no less Raizada, she was determined.

"Go back to Rodger."

Anahita stood infront of her husband in disbelief. It was like the life out of her was sucked out. This could not be happening to her, after all she did for her family. Why God, why???

"I will come back after I have served my punishment". She started to walk out when she felt electrified by the touch of her husband, he held her hand tightly in his, afraid to lose her again.

"you still don't trust me Anu". Finally the calm was gone, the Raizada mask came off and Anahita couldn't comprehend the emotions in her husbands eyes.

The next moment she felt trapped but in a blissful manner, she was home, right where she belonged, her sanctuary, in the premise of her husbands arms. Now she understood what he meant by "go back to rodger", it was their time to fight and this time they would win it because they were TOGETHER.

Anjali was standing at the door with heavy tears in her eyes, she now didn't feel as if her mother had a debt to pay to her because what her mother did was way bigger than what she had done in her presence.

It was 6 in the morning when Arnav received Anjalis call, after hearing his mothers story he couldn't help but cry. It took him 10 years to understand his mother while all Khushi did was look in her eyes and that's when it struck him, Khushi was exactly like his mother, his mother had given up 10 years in torture leaving her family behind to protect them and Khushi was doing the same. She was going to leave him like his mother to protect him, all because of this one man RODGER. NEVER WOULD HE EVER let Khushi repeat the mistake his mother made but to rectify the wrong ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA had to take this drastic step. He immediately called Aman to make some "important" arrangements.

hey!!! yes im back with the update!!!

well lots to happen in the next chapter, this might seem like a filler but im desperately taking out time to write updates and keep coming to IF.
