Todays' lesson: Love in itself is an intoxication. Mixed with alcohol and it's lethal!
Am I dreaming? Did the CVs just give us an epi which was based around TR? And did I really see a precap which focused on TR? If this is a dream then kindly let me sleep to dream on! But thank you, CVs. I genuinely mean it. WOW! What an epi and where to begin?
The moment Taani entered the canteen, I knew the epi was going to be one to watch...but never did I guess it would be so dramatic! As soon as she comes in, Rey's radar picks up her presence 😆 At that precise moment, time stops - the world no longer exists and all that he can do is gaze in admiration at that most precious thing in his life. She too acknowledges his presence. And for a brief moment, it's as though Taani was reaching out to Rey. But the trance is soon broken by cheers from the gang. Boy, do they have the worst timing ever!
Rey's small but adorable attempts at trying to pull Taani's attention towards him all seem to fail. But it doesn't put him off. Why should it? Taani is precious, remember? And precious things don't come our way so easily. We often end up fighting for it. Sometimes with the world, and most of the time, with ourselves. But like Taani, lady luck too seems to be annoyed with Rey - with nothing going in his favour. The alcohol that he consumed soon becomes poison for him, aswell as Taani.
And so infront of the entire gang and many other unknown faces, Rey grabs hold of Taani to declare his love once again. He's not fit for that moment - barely able to stand on his own two feet but even then he doesn't want to miss a single opportunity to tell her just really how he feels. And in his own style, he innocently narrates a story. Yes, he meant well. His heart was in the right place and his intention was noble. But was it the right time or the place? No.
Unknowingly Rey has done more harm than good. He was not in his senses and in the process, made a mockery out of Taani and his love for her. Taani's hurt and anger was justified. Whether it's in the presence of the gang or other college students - matters of the heart, intimate feelings shouldn't be showcased in such a manner. Rey finally told her the real reason for the break up. But its meaning and his noble gesture were left buried under the manner in which he confessed all. The cheap remarks from strangers, so many eyes fixed on her and most of all, Rey's behaviour...it was all too much for Taani. She forcefully brushes Rey aside, along with his feelings and leaves him stranded in a daze.
Take a bow! As if I needed a reminder, today's epi showed me just why Amar and Vrinda floor me with their portrayal of Rey and Taani. Both of them nailed it. Amar's drunk avatar was a treat to watch! His flying kisses and winks to Taani were super duper cute! And his narration of the story was also well executed. I literally had goosebumps when Rey held on to Taani, telling her he loved her - over and over again. I applaud you, Amar 👏 And Vrinda? her expressions as always were spot on. Whether it was displaying her displeasure at Rey's state, or the hurt upon hearing the truth - she did so with perfection. She portrayed Taani's feelings effortlessly and with great ease. Bravo, Vrinda 👏
What a precap! How can I sum up my feelings regarding the precap? I guess Monday will be another dramatic epi, filled with a lot of emotions and heartache for both of them. I'm not going to say much because already my post has gone over its required length 😆 I shall just say that right now, my heart is sinking for BOTH of them. TaaRey are simply showing us how complicated love can be. It's a beautiful feeling. But it also comes at a price. Aur sirf bade dilwale hi pyaar ki baazi khelte hain. Har kisi mein dum nahin...
