After a year

A bright orange sun spreading its light all over the city , as the birds happily danced in the bright sky , the winds danced in its own rhythm and the leaves played the music , the hall was situated on the first floor of the nine storied building , it was a huge auditorium used for miscellaneous purposes but today it was holding for the brand opening of a book that was world famous , and the writer himself was an epic .today the entire hall was packed everybody was excited as the clock read sharp eleven and their from the gate he appreared with his angle in his arms everybody cheered as he came and both were seated down after a formal introduction it was time for his speech about his book he kissed her forehead and took a copy of the book and stepped forward , he adjusted the mike and with the famous smirk started off

"today I am here to give no speech no I am sorry I have nothing to tell about this book but I have a letter yes just a letter which was handed to me by my little daughter amaya today morning and this is what I want to read out to you all so here I go"

Saying this he took out a paper and unfolded it as he said

"dear uday

I dont have much time. I don't mean literally, I mean, you're out dropping amaya to school and you'll be home soon. I have a feeling this is gonna be the last letter and after your check up yesterday I am sure about it now after everything that I have said , there is only one thing left to tell you. You had been an ideal son to your parents , a good brother to your sister , a perfect husband to me but here you have taken the most important turn of life anybody can be a father but it takes someone special to be called dad and today you proved yourself as while dressing amaya she called you dad and that is the very reason I handed my last letter to her as I knew she would perfectly know when you needed it the most this 180 letters I mentioned about your life and made an attempt to bring that sleepy head back , the child in you back which was long lost but uday now it is time for my final good bye I am sorry my letters end here but I want you to know this is exactly where your life begins you do not need me uday , you are strong enough and I know you will manage I trust you and I know you will never let me down it is time you leave your life now you have to do justice to yourself as I said do not mour on my dead smile at my memories , I gave up my life for your happiness now don't kill yourself each day do what makes you smile as I do not want the cute smile on which I still drool off your face ever everything happens twice give life a chance fall in love again. Watch out for that signal, when life as you know it ends.

This was my wife last letter , this book that I hold in my hands "ps I love you" is about us yes about each and every person in this hall , here each and every one of us have lost someone whom they loved but we all have moved on meeting and departures are a part of life but what stays with us is the memory and we can always keep them alive through this memory they are always alive in our heart , this journey of six month was really tough each day after her letter a new ray of hope filled my eyes , finally see I have moved on I fulfilled her each and every dream and she is forever alive in my heart so now you all can question me I am ready to answer'

Saying this he went back to his seat as amaya admired him till this one year thing changed the father daughter bond had been very strong at first amaya was rude and not ready to do but it was manyata letter and uday love that she realized that her dad is not a bad man instead her hero who wiped all tears and filled her life with happiness as question session started and went fairly well by the end all the every body had respect for uday as he headed out with amaya they headed to their favourite ice cream parlour and ate which she said to him

AMAYA:daddy amaya want another ice cream ?

UDAY:bacha you already had two na your tummy will be upset if you have more

AMAYA:but daddy will be there for me na

UDAY:sure bacha I will always be by my angle side

Saying this they had an ice cream war which was won by uday 12 ice creams and after finishing off they went back to the room and that night uday after getting amaya some sleep he was strolling in the balcony as he saw a girl passed him he holded her hands back and she turned it was manyata in a white washed salwar and with her sindoor and magalsutra looking beautiful as ever they sat on the swing as she rested her head on his chest and they admired the moon and uday said

"love never dies it is only the body that dies but the soul is always kept alive in heart and you my wife have taught me to be a man you have showed me the path of life and I will always love you"

She passed him a sweet smile as the very other moment he found himself all alone in the swing as he looked up at the sky and smiled
