I think most of us her just surprised and saddened to see how a woman who had so much going for herself..just succumbed to bollywood's pressure and kind of ruined her acting career. Also, I keep hearing her talk about how she left bollywood midway to go buy an IPL team..and how she was the top actress at that point..I think that's false. Her career was tanking with some of her ridiculous movie choices in 2007 (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom)..and I believe after that she just left to buy a cricket team. And she started ruining her face at the time of Salaam Namaste..and I'm not sure why. Not to mention, I find her a bit insecure in many of her interviews nowadays..which wasn't the case before.

But regardless of her flops, she had a standing in Bollywood

She was done KANK

And at that point, it was her, rani and Kareena who were at the top

Priyanka was somewhere there but not as widely recognized

Priyankas career got a boost after 2008

She did have a few hits before

But didn't get that popular

I used to like her back then but don't know what really happened to her post Veer Zaara phase. She gave too much importance to stuff like IPL over movies I guess, I really don't know

She and the Wadia guy were both rumored to be hard-core coke addicts...and the rumors persisted for a very long time! Infact, when Preity was seeing him, she used to actually look stoned all the time...check out some of their pictures and you will know what I mean!

I never liked Preity as an actor (except in VZ...she was breathtaking in it!), as a person she came across quite genuine and sweet!

I think it was her association with Ness Wadia which brought her downfall! She stopped taking film offers, probably expecting that he was going to ask her to marry her. Preity was pictured many times along with the Wadia Clan at glamarous events.They even came to Aishwarya and Abhishek's wedding together and there were lots of rumors that they were engage to be married...but they broke off!

The affair probably took its toll on Preity...I mean, you leave a brilliant career behind for a man and then he jilts you...the good thing was that she got rid of her drugs habit! There were another set of strong rumors that she spent a couple of months in Rehab!

PS: Maureen Wadia, Ness Wadia's mother and probably the bitchiest woman in India as of now😆 was completely against Preity...she even made some rather insulting comments in the press, when the press asked her about Ness and Preity's affair and whether they were getting married!
