What I feel is EKta knew from beginning that Iqbal will quit once his three year contract is over so she cast Iqbal as shiv to pull in the initial audinces... The TRPs are still maintaied due to this initial episodes... Maybe the TRP will go down but not to such an extent as the story line is interesting
